Oil Temp Sensor Failure
2017 Ram 1500 3.6, had all sensors plus a tranny replacement. Ran fine and started doing this exact thing. I think the computer is trashed honestly because there were numerous cooling system issues but they never threw codes.- Maximusdevelopmnt

Transmission falling out of gear
It didn't throw a code initially but did pretty much after it failed, indicating a valve body failure. Truck has ext warranty, they replace with a remanufactured unit. Transmission falling out of gear
Got a 2017 1500 with the ZF8 that has a random issue with the transmission faing out of gear when I hit the accelerator. New guy
Got a 2017 1500, had for six months or so. Use for a work truck doing metalwork and fabrication. Has the T8 Torqueflite transmission which randomly falls out of gear and generally doesn't get out of its own way. Put your foot down and it goes into neutral. Irritating and unsafe.
