Knocked a metal ring off aft end of drive shaft

I had to have mine replaced and they just replaced the whole drive shaft, no questions. Second time I brought it in they could see the marks where it had clearly been knocked off while on the trail so no warranty work there :33: months later, the yoke ring is still bungee corded to my diff lol

    I'm not a millennial.

Guy wants to complain about dial shifter and push button start but is totally fine with pushing a button for 4x4. Ahyuck hyuck stoopid millennials!

    Best regular cab for offroad

Here you go. 5th gen AEV prospector tray bed. That’s what I would work toward if I was going off road regular cab. 40” tires

    6.4 with 8 speed?

This is why I always cackle when people talk about fuel mileage with a diesel. It's literally a moot point unless you're keeping that truck for 10+ years.

    IRSmart build log, “Big Red”

I feel like I have to ask... what was the hardest trail of these?

My Truck, it has a name.

Awesome. Only things it's missing now are some hard sliders and some dirt on it! :headbang:

Thoughts on a regear with 37s?

So, I haven't personally done it, but I did talk to AEV on the phone the other day and they confirmed that they use off the shelf 5.13 Nitro/Yukon gears for 19+ PW Prospector XLs.

Talk me into (or out of) 37's

I have a full-size, same wheel spare that I rotate in, but I only actually carry it in the bed if I'm either going on a long trip or going wheeling.

    2021 75th Anniversary PW Ordered

It makes jeepers and taco-nuts real mad when I say this, but I've encountered quite a few situations where the sheer size of the PW helps out. Usually it's the situations where you're going up a rocky hill trail and the jeeps get all 4 tires stuck in ruts/small pits and can't get out, whereas I...

What did you drive before your Ram?

First: 2006 Jeep Liberty. Got it as my first car at 15 w/90k. 9 1/2 years later, it's still rolling well at 160k, and I use it as my daily driver. Second: 2017 Rebel. Got it in March 2018, had it for almost 2 years, and then traded it in. Liked it a lot, but I wanted more. Now: 2019 Power...

Thoughts on a regear with 37s?

Glad you did, I have just been wondering about a regear to 4.88s or 5.13s over the past few days. Gears are something I've yet to acquire an adequate amount of knowledge on.

    New Power Wagon/New Member

I kinda do too, just so I can lock up in the middle of an obstacle/mud pit without having to think about it beforehand. Aside from that, I haven't really had the issues the 4th gen guys always complain about when it comes to locking. Usually the rear locks in under 2 seconds and the front maybe...
