I was pretty close to doing either a wrap or some sort of paint on the chrome slats on my '16 Sport since they were the only chrome left on the exterior after swapping exhaust tips out for black. Ended up finding a used grille shell with black honeycomb inserts for a price I was comfortable...
I would bet on one or both of the sprayer nipples being broken, and still in the tubing. I've had to replace both squirters on my wife's 2013 Santa Fe and my daughter's 2016 Jeep Compass recently. Santa Fe has cowl mounted sprayers, the Jeep was at least easier since they are hood mounted...
Is the light actually out or do you just have a message that it is? If it's just the message but the light actually works, check the third brake light. It will cause that message
From my reading, 2018s are fairly notorious for the problem you're describing. Do a forum search for "delamination" and you're bound to find a lot of posts describing the problem and potential fixes.
You'll probably have better luck posting in the 3rd Gen section instead of the "how to use the forum" section

Do a search on here and there are several posts about it. There's also a rather lengthy thread about AlphaOBD on this forum if you choose to go that route
I'm pretty sure the "rotting from the inside out" comment was made in regards to the oil pan, not body panels. If water and salt got in to eat the oil pan from the inside out, there were some other issues.
