i removed the OEM radio, and attached the android unit directly to the dash face using metal tabs to sorta "pinch" it between the tab and android unit. Been a couple of years since i did that, sold the truck about a month ago now. Worked great.
so i like my lil truck, but i bought it with a dented tailgate and rear bumper. Drove me nuts looking at it. Trust me it looks alot worse in person. Previous owner broke a chain and it wipped the tailgate and im guessing backed into something.
$160 later and i found a matching white tailgate and...
there is more than just a muffler and tips on the oem set up. Also all the fab work needed to make fit i can do myself. It's going to be less than paying anyone to do anything round here. Its just a thing i wanna do. Future plans actually involve a hellcat with 8 speed swap. Been trying to snag...
na, not interested. Id rather buy someone's take off. Also that site is set up to be a real headache when you are not looking for an exact year, make and model.
if im going to go thru all that headache i'll just drop the y pipe and cut the cats out, replace with straight pipe or 100% make a new y pipe. Hollow cats cause quite a bit of back pressure and actually can cause drone. It's far better to just eliminate them. Im just trying to avoid the headache...
does anyone have a link to one. I see them for the 5.7 everywhere. If not, how hard would it be to make the 5.7 Y pipe fit.
Most of the ones i see have the upgraded collector as well. Just none are for the 4.7/3.7
One of my cat are plugging up, and i will not spend the cash to replace a faulty...
i've been wondering the same. That said if i get the 2/4 kit and only do the rear the truck would be level. Its an actual 4" taller than the front. Like you said it could be warn parts. truck has 180k on it so maybe. not likely with the lil v6 but maybe.
pretty sure the 3.6 and the 3.7 are different, though im sure the power to rev range is probably pretty close. keep in mind tire size and vehicle weight will play a factor in what gear will work best. i just know my 3.7 is a total dog at 1500 or less rpm
keep watching FB marketplace, go search (your year) ram 1500 rear end. each morning before you leave for work. that is what i did. found a complete rear end with a new 4.56 gearset, and all new bearings and seals for only $200. so after opening it up to inspect, buying mobil 1 75/80 full...
ok so results are in. I LOVE IT.
truck is completely different. not just holds overdrive at 65 and 75 MPH, but it can actually accelerate uphill in OD at these speeds. keep in mind im running a 33" tire. 275/60R20
65 MPH is 2100 RPM on the tach
75 MPH is 2400 RPM on the tach
80 MPH is 2550 RPM...
crunching the numbers. i find my truck seems happy at 2k rpm. this is why i wanted 4.56 over 4.11 gears. i'm no speed demon and pretty much normally cruise at 65 mph.
Well, my "little ram" as i call it, is getting what i think will be the best mod possible for the lil v6 truck with its 33" tires and 20" wheels.
Today i just bought an entire rear axle assembly that was fully rebuilt with 4.56 gears in it. gear set has less than 2000 miles on it due to the...
