You like to move up to 2500

I switched from a 1500 with 5.7 to a 2500 with 6.4, so I can't speak to the ecoD. I can offer that the steering feel will be significantly different between the 1500 to the 2500- the eps on the 1500 has a nice, tight steering feel while the hd's feel a bit lazy and vague. I added a dual steering...

Brake size and tire/wheel size inquiry

I'm running 285/75/17's and they clear fine; I like the size. The tire shop needs to be careful on the placement of the stick on weights; the clearance is close enough that if they place them in the wrong spot they will hit the brake caliper. I had an annoying noise when I left the tire shop...

Terrible, Horrible luck TT wise. My fault though...anything I can do?

The 1500's should have a Class IV receiver, not V. According to FCA, tongue weight is limited to 1100 pounds. Your trailer is in the sweet spot for the 1500's, it pulls very nicely.

Terrible, Horrible luck TT wise. My fault though...anything I can do?

As mentioned, salespersons look at the max towing for a truck and nothing else, they don't really know the towing abilities of the trucks, and that goes for truck and RV dealers. My first TT they were telling me I could tow 10k with my 1500, but I knew that to be false since I had 3.21 gears. I...

    Very happy towing camper!

The 1500 tows well, as long as it's not a larger camper. My 2016 1500 with 3.21 gears towed our smaller 5,500-6000# Wildwood 261bhxl very well from NH to CO and back. When I upgraded to a Coleman 2855BH it hated life, but I was at about 7500# and very close to GCWR limits. My max towing was...

Will it pull? RAM 3500 SRW 2022 vs 17000lb Toy Hauler

That's a lot of trailer, I'd probably want a drw truck for that much weight and trailer length. I would say it really depends on the length of trips you take and the terrain. I just came back from towing my much smaller 5w from NH to VA and back, and I know there's a lot of variables towing...

Will it pull? RAM 3500 SRW 2022 vs 17000lb Toy Hauler

The Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act requires every state to meet the same minimum standards for commercial driver licensing. The standards require drivers to get a Commercial Driver License (CDL) to operate any of the following commercial motor vehicles: A vehicle with a gross vehicle...

    Hornblasters Nightmare with Goliath mount

Wow, that's a fun one, gotta pay to play! Congrats on a beast of a setup. Cheap airhorn setups are around 150 db, so I'm sure that beast is louder. I've been considering a cheaper setup for when I'm towing my 5w but haven't done it yet, maybe next year.

    HEMI 6.4 emblem

It's adhesive only, I removed mine and added 392 badging. I put tape above and below the position of the Hemi 6.4 badge to make it easy to place the new badges.

    Anti-slip differential

The gas trucks with the 8HP75 get the puck shifter, other transmissions get the column shifter. The anti-spin rear end automatically engages so there is no turning it on or off. You could opt for the power wagon and get selectable front and rear locking diffs though :) .

    2022 2500 6.4L Tradesman with PowerWagon Package 4.10

The 4th gen Tradesman PW were true power wagons, just like the 2019+ Tradesman PW. These are trucks that are ideal for, among other things, the power companies that upfit their base model work trucks with winches and better tires for checking the power lines. You get the PW package in the...

No, they replace the coils on their leveling kits for these trucks. Here are the suspension options Bilstein offers for the 2019+ Cummins trucks: Bilstein suspension options

    2022 2500 5th wheel sag Questi ? ?

Before I put airbags in my truck it would drop about 2" when loaded for travel, which included some gear in the bed. My camper has an empty pin weigh of 1545. My hitch is a couple hundred pounds and the front of my truck was raised 2", so not quite leveled.

    One Long Haul...!

It's a great trip out there, we did our first trip from New Hampshire to Badlands, South Dakota in September 2020 with our 7500# tt at the time (Coleman 2855BH) and the truck did well. I really enjoy getting out to the midwest and western states, it's such a beautiful landscape. There were some...
