@turkeybird56 - thanks but I’m well aware of what’s out there for sale. I should have mentioned I’m a EE ( Electrical Engineer) so I know how this works. Just don’t know the limitations of the charging system.

I have a 2014 ram 1500 SXT equipped with a 180 amp alternator.
I want to use it (in lieu of a generator) to run an inverter to power a 120V electric chainsaw, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, etc.

Actually not Canadian at all. Built in the US for the Canadian market, sold in the US to the US used market.
They are required to honor recalls in the USA.
Still seems to me in the global economy world that auto manufacturers inhabit that they should globally honor their warranty.
