    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

Doesn't your Bilstein shocks have a lifetime warranty? Same for the suspension parts as many do?

    Rear end whine

Since you started at the front, are you sure now that it is in the rear end? Did you change/or lube the belt tensioner? If not, the belt just might not have enough tension on it.

Seized or rusted spare tire cable or lift mechanism

I pulled mine down when new (2016) and coated the cable very liberally with marine bearing grease.. As far as I know it will still drop down haha

Seized or rusted spare tire cable or lift mechanism

They do come in handy! It might be easier to cut the bracket that holds the tire up with a sawzall than cutting the cable itself. Or do you have a cutoff wheel? Grinder that you can put a cutoff wheel on? etc.

Seized or rusted spare tire cable or lift mechanism

What he said. ^^ A torch will make short work of the cable and let the tire fall down, but you should be able to cut it also.

Electrical System Crash With High Beams On

I would start with checking all the grounds (or do the Big 3 upgrade) and positive connections. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/big-3-4-upgrade.183346/ You could probably trace the issue doing voltage drop tests if you know how to do those. But it might just fix the issue upgrading the grounds...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

I've gone to the foot on pedal, pause cruise, crest overpass, reengage cruise - this is usually when towing the boat. At least it is 100 times better than my Pacifica was, it used to drop speed a couple of mph, downshift 1 or 2 gears, then fly over the crest of the hill and go 10+ mph over the...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

Now if we can only get the Ram's to do that kind of mileage :)

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

I agree. Since most of my mileage is long highway trips, I can't not use cruise! haha Part of the problem is with it wanting to exactly keep the speed it's set at. I wouldn't mind a drop of 1-2 mph on an incline to prevent a downshift, esp. on going over a highway overpass. On my 01 Dakota...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

On mine with the 3.92's, it also downshifts at the slightest hill when using cruise, it's not as bad using the foot but i would prefer for it to bog just a bit instead of the quick downshift. In the Florida keys, on cruise and doing 45-55 mph (45 zone with a lot of police), I can pull 28-30 mpg...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

That last part isn't true for a gas engine, they make much more torque in the higher rpms and as said significantly more heat in the rear end. At 70 mph, the 3.21 in 8th is around 1500 rpm or less, the 3.92 is almost touching 2000 rpms. Empty, I am out of first gear by about 3-4 mph normally...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

Haha, mostly 45-55 here, but I pretty much only use the truck for vacations and thus interstate speeds. I spec 74 mph, because it seems that I can watch the gas gauge drop faster at speeds above that mph. It seems like I'm sinning when going out west and the speed limit is 75 mph and I'm...

3:21 rear vs 3:92 gas mileage?

3.92's as a general rule for most people will be 2-4 mpg less at 74 mph in my experience. All stock, I was only able to get 17 mpg @ 74 mph with cruise on the level at sea level. And that was the best mpg, I have gotten as low as 12 mpg with a fair wind.

Rear Diff Noise, cant figure out..?

Check your u-joints, if they are good, pull the driveshaft and rotate 180 degrees and see if that helps.
