    I have a 2018 ram 1500 with a 3.92 rear gears and 5.7 engine pulling a trailer has a lot to do with mpg. Pulling my trailer I'm averaging 14.1 mile to the gallon lite weight.And when pulling I average 60 to 65 miles per hour,anything over that and you can see a change in mpg.

    What is everybody running in their 5.7 hemi

    I really don't think it matters whether you use regular oil or syn. It all depends on how often you change your oil. If you change your oil every 3000 miles regular oil will due. If you change your oil every 7000 miles I would recommend syn.If you use regular oil use a good brand,with detergents.

    If you are going to buy a truck to pull a travel trailer you should have a solid idea how much weight the manufacter recommends.You need tohave the power to pull and the right gears.The 3.21 gears are ok ,but the 3.92 are much better.

    A 2018 1500 crew cab with the 5'7 hemi with 3.92 gears is rate at 10,600 lbs that looks like it would more than do the job.And with a weight distribution hitch, you should never have a problem.

    ATTENTION ALL V6 Ram 1500 owners

    I cannot begin to tell you how much I like my 2017 v/6.The crew cab has plenty of room and the mpg is great.My big truck gets better mpg than my 2015 toyota tacoma did. I love it.
