    Bio Diesel. Yes or no?

I have a friend who drives an early 2000's RAM diesel. He bought one of the waste vegetable oil (WVO) kits that mount in the bed of the truck. When he starts the engine, it warms up and switches to the WVO tank, which contains raw (but filtered) veggie oil right from a restaurant's fryer. It...

    Tow/Haul

I have T/H and EB both on most of the time since I pull a 40' gooseneck trailer for work. However, I've gotten spoiled on the T/H assisting with the braking... With no trailer on, I leave T/H off, EB on. When I come off an interstate, I'll turn T/H on before I hit the off ramp, letting it and...

    2014 2500 6.7 drive shaft support bearing

I had a local driveshaft shop make me up a front driveshaft. Truck was used when I bought it and the CV center pivot was shot and the cross on the axle end of the shaft was shot. They made me a totally new shaft, using Spicer greasable crosses and CV. My next plan for the front end is locking...

    Rear seat bolts

Mine did, too. Paying for Sirus/XM for an 8-mile commute. But Hair Nation just makes sitting at one of the four red lights sooooo much easier.... :headbang:

DIY Greasing Front Drive Shaft Fitting

My old '78 Bronco, with it's monster lift kit, I had to drop the transfer case end of the driveshaft to get enough opening in the CV to grease the crosses and center pivot. The axle end of the shaft was easy enough to rotate so the zerk (or needle) on the cross was accessible. Given the more...

    Brake Fluid Change Not Required?

I have my brake system flushed and replaced whenever I do a full brake job. I've done it that way since I was 15. I've never had a brake system component fail or seize up on me... For example, my '93 Ford Bronco has 215,000-ish miles on it. I have only replaced one flexible brake hose on it...

    Power inverter

I installed a 3000-watt Harbor Freight inverter under my back seat. Works great. I'm going to move it to the cab back wall once I do the seat fold down mod. I used 4AWG wire from the battery back to the inverter.

Rear Seats Stuck in Up Position

I had the same problem on my truck. At first it wouldn't lock in the upright position. When I finally got it to lock, no manner of force could get it back down. I even tried using the Force but that didn't work. I had to get a little screwdriver and pry the little locking cams down so the...

    Mouse getting into my cab.

Get one of the neighborhood stray cats to live in your truck... or get a pet snake! LOL Actually that is what I did for my travel trailer... Had a mouse problem... Started leaving water/food out under the trailer... Stray cats came along, mice moved along! And yes, I did trap the cats...

    Lets talk toolboxes

I have not been happy with my UWS tool box. I will admit, I bought it because of their reputation and didn't really give the box a detailed lookie-lu before buying it. My fault there. I have found the box to be, well, cheap. Not inexpensive, just plain cheap. Maybe it was made on a Friday...

Get your actual weights! don't guess

My 2012 weighs in at 8040 pounds with me and a full tank of diesel... I don't want to know how overloaded my work trailer is... It's a 45' triple axle gooseneck with brakes on all 6... I usually run the brake controller about 8 to 9... I just hook it up, drive down the road, and not worry...

Does A 4WD Truck Need Limited Slip

My '75 Bronco had a posi rear end and a limiited slip front. I can only remember ONE time I got stuck out in the woods hunting and that was when I found some ruts that were deeper than my tires. Bottomed out the axles... Winch time! My '79 Bronco had a posi rear end and an ARB locker on the...

2012 2500 CTD Power Steering help

Thanks Crash, that's a good point. I had totally forgotten about @AllMoparParts.com. Benny, if ya need it, the VIN is 3C6UD5HL5CG100927. 2012, 2500, 4x4, 408 CTD, ST package. Was talking with my Bro-in-law and when the hose on his '97 blew, he just took all of them to a local hydraulic shop...

2012 2500 CTD Power Steering help

Need some part numbers help and I figured the Forum was as good as any place to ask. I have a serious leak in one of the high pressure lines in my power steering/power brake system. MOPAR has screwed everyone with a truck older than 2013 by not making parts any more, the high pressure lines...

Knob dial vs shift on console

Kind of a reply to two threads... I despise all the BS electronics in the new trucks and really hate the knob shifting. I have a 2012 2500 that has a column shift tranny and a floor shift xfer case. If I am in the woods hunting and start to get stuck, I can rock back and forth with the column...
