    Swapping out transmission coolers

    I am wanting to know if the transmission coolers can be swapped out and are the cooler lines the same size if I use the cooler from a 1 ton truck on my 1/4 ton truck. I want to use the bigger cooler as it will keep the transmission fluid cooler. Thanks for any info you may share on this.

    Spark plugs

    The NGK 5306 is a good spark plug for your hemi. I use them in my 2006. You should be quite satisfied with them.

    Towing

    It would not be a bad idea to perform a fluid and filter change on your transmission. You may already have a small factory installed tranny cooler, it should be in front of the radiator if you have one.

    I installed a set of Hellwig 2500# helper springs on my half ton years ago. They eliminated any sag on the rear of my truck, even when hooked up to a heavy load. They made for a stiff ride whenever I had no load though. I recently removed one of the two leafs on each side and am very pleased...

    A good tune up usually helps a lot. Cleaning the throttle body would not do any harm either. Let us know how it does as you go along, welcome to the forum.

    Dual exhaust

    I had a dual exhaust put on my 2006 5.7 years ago. It hasn’t caused any issues and actually helped with highway mileage. Don’t go with too large of pipe, choose mufflers that will sound good to you, let the tips exit out the back of the truck. It is your truck so make it as you wish. Good luck...

    I finally removed the one leaf from my helper springs yesterday. With only using the one leaf I am very pleased with the improvement of the ride when not pulling a trailer or unloaded. Time will tell how it does when I do pull a load, but lately about all I haul is my golf cart trailer. Anyway...

    Urgent Takata Airbag Recall

    I had to take my 2006 to a dealer about 40 miles away to get one day service for my airbags. It is amazing that recall work isn’t taken serious in some dealerships.
