Correct but the transmission doesn't care about the shifter. The shifter is simply telling the computer what to do. The computer is still controlling the transmission. I'm just wondering if the functions will translate over.
So I grabbed a TRX console this week. Seeing how it is an electronic shifter and the 4th gen 1500s are also electronic shifters- I want to see about getting it to work. I also have an entire 2023 dash including the UC5 radio that I will hopefully get into my truck. Has anyone attempted to...
Sorry guys- I was on six flights this week and have at least 4 scheduled this coming week.
Crap. I was hoping that the new "dash" was just the outer shell over the older style HVAC and other stuff in the dash since the cab is still the same. So the new cluster doesn't work at all? I wonder if...
Really? I figured the HVAC system was at least similar or the same under the dash. Are you talking about the 2500/3500 dash or the 1500 dash? I would expect things to be different with the 1500 dashes. Getting the BCM is easy. (getting it to work may be a little more complicated)
Nope. I've been super busy with work and haven't had much time for taking my truck apart. Ram/FCA/Whatever hasn't released the brand new trucks I have to be dismantled yet either. I'm planning on getting the dash, the headlight switch and rotary shifter from a 2500. I might just go ahead and get...
Well I think I've decided to just swap the entire dash from a 21 truck into mine. It will make the 12.1" radio fit like it should. I have a few 0 mile trucks at work I can get to and just swap over the entire interior so my 14 will basically be a 21 inside wise. I need to find the correct switch...
I know there was something that needed to be changed when going from the single-piece radio units to the multi-piece divorced units. Before I go and plug one of these into my truck and do some testing- what was it that I need to change in the BCM?
Yeah. I thought it was kinda strange. I'm getting this error:

That makes it seem like it is just blocked or something. I could still see it in the thread listings this morning, but...
Sooooo..... I've got a couple of the UAX displays sitting here at home now and had the other thread bookmarked to reference. Now that thread comes up as dead? Anyone know why?

It would be a lot better to just put the OEM 19+ HD tails in. Those VLAND lights will either be full of water or just fail internally in fairly short order.
I don't have my truck right now to access the application version is as I'm traveling for work. The radio came from a 2018 1500 that was an early build truck. 1C6RR7PM0JS100062
I've sent refresh signals from the website. The SXM still works. The presets are still there. Just the icon to switch over to them is gone. I'm going to grab a micropod and see if I can see anything in WiTech that Alfa isn't showing that may need to be changed. I may just refresh everything back...
It just disappeared one day after not driving the truck for a few weeks. I got into it and noticed the SXM button was missing but it was still working (which I thought was strange). I left the airport and hit FM on the way home and it won't go back. I've pulled the hidden radio fuse and it...
Just out of curiosity... I've been running a 4C nav unit in both my trucks for quite a while. I recently had the SXM option just vanish from my radio. I can still see the subscription as active in the SXM menu and even force it using Alfa to manually "test" the source over to it (it works for...
It's actually just been sitting in my basement for a while. Normally I have a dehumidifier running but haven't this year. It looked better when I brought it home.
