Thoughts on the Hemi engine cover
Hmmm, they seem to be on all the new vehicles now that you mention it. My '93 BRONCO has definitely never had one. Maybe remove it off the RAM in the summer and leave it on in the winters (if you live in some frozen tundra location)??? I know you have to go and pull the damn thing off the 5.7L...- REDinAZ

If we even have morning "frost" on the vehicles 1/2 a dozen times a winter season it's a lot. that's why all you Canucks come down here and hide out for the winters! :cheers:- REDinAZ

yes, that seems to be the old school thinking, and really, what could it hurt?. for example off the dealer lot I drained the '17's factory fill well before 1,000 miles, then ran regular Pennzoil Yellow Bottle a little over 2000K, then permanently switched to the Pennzoil "Ultra" Platinum going...- REDinAZ

yes JW, I've always been impressed with that "Original" stuff, the ONLY one I'd ever use. it works fantastic and has never destroyed any surface finish I've sprayed it on (now, I don't think I'd go so far to spray it directly onto exterior paint however). relatively cheap, and 1 can will...- REDinAZ

for starters try and get eyes on fluid that might be dripping to the ground, maybe sit a large piece of cardboard (if you can find it in white that would be preferable) directly under the next few times you park it overnight. any coloration of/amount of dripping might give you more info. if...- REDinAZ

Engine hours... what i didnt know...
only scenario I'd be concerned of is if former owner was completely lax on the oil change schedule. a little insurance may be doing a few initial shorter interval oil changes to get engine cleaned up. for example maybe 3 in your first year of ownership.- REDinAZ

Accuracy of MPG display in Dash
my observation with the 5.7 is around town you'll see closer to 15, out on the interstate and set on cruise, you'll pretty much see a bit under or over 20.- REDinAZ

Shock Recommendation
can't comment on 4" drop, but FWIW I'm on some 2" rear leveling springs and tried the Belltech Street Performance series shocks. Not to 10,000 miles yet but so far definitely not disappointed, I'd do it again. -
