Highest towing capacity for the 5.7

My vote is it will be fine, especially with only towing a couple times/year. I’m not gonna waste time going over all the math that’s already been spewed on here. But I can tell you I haul my horse trailer with my 2019 1500 with the 3.21 gear ratio approximately 2000 miles/year. In the...

    IBS reset for battery change?

Too many to list. Do a search for IBS and there are a bunch of posts. Some say you have to reset the IBS and others say you don’t ‍♀️.

    IBS reset for battery change?

I just replaced the battery on my 2019 1500 Classic (5 years old, been drained dead a few times due to trailer wiring issues, can’t seem to hold a charge , etc) Just recently read stuff about having to reset the IBS sensor when you do this. WTF?! What is this and how do you do it? My Uconnect...

Best AT tires for everyday use and snow?

I’m in SE ID as well. I used to drive studded tires but found siped tires to be even better. And that’s with driving driving Teton Pass with its 10% grade and stupid tourists.

Best AT tires for everyday use and snow?

Copper Discoverer AT3 siped for winter. Been running these for at least 5 years and love em. SE ID mountains where we have 6+ months of ice/snow.

Can we please get past the dealership model?

I guess I missed something…. What is wrong with your RAM?

Replacing Original Factory Tires Before 10K

LOVE my Cooper AT3’s. I actually get them siped and run them as my snow tire.

    Bottle jacks and jack stands

Stock 1500 with 20” rims. I used to DIY oil changes but never had to jack it up for them. But accessing that f…ing oil filter is such a PIA I decided to pay some other poor schmuck to do my oil changes. Worth every penny. For tire changes I use a floor Jack on a point of the axle closest to...

What would you add to make your Ram ideal for you?

A built in “truck roomba” to suck up all the interior trail dust and dog hair.

    8 speed transmission issues

Those seem like pretty high tranny temps. I had a 2014 V6 that would hit 240 on a really long uphill mountain climb towing a horse trailer. I bought a 2019 V8 and have never seen it go over 200, even towing 7000# in the mountains.

What should I expect in MPG while towing my RV

I read some of the other posts and can’t believe what sucky the mpg they are getting. I tow a 7000# (fully loaded) horse trailer with my 2019 1500 Classic 5.7 hemi and I get 11-14mpg. Rarely exceeding 55mph but often involving decent mountain climbs.

Truck driven with Washer fluid in coolant.

    It’s actually a 2019 with 30,000 miles

Truck driven with Washer fluid in coolant.

Yes, taking it to a shop. It’s still full blown winter here. Dumping snow and highs in the 30’s. Not exactly what I want to be doing myself right now.
