    Oil Leak 2019 Diesel

Oil leaks happen, because seals don't last forever. A "leak at the bottom of the engine" isn't very descript. Is it leaking from the oil pan, rear main, sensor, valve cover and dripping down? What is leaking? $4-6k to fix an oil leak is nuts. A dealer would be ideal, although I don't think an...

    Hurricane durability questions?

Yeah, those turbos are bolted directly to the manifolds that cast in to the head. The 3.6 Pentastar has the same style heads with manifolds cast in to them.

    HD rear Coil Spring "Upgrade"

I'm sorry, but in my own opinion there isn't a 3/4 ton truck on the planet that can tow that toy hauler safely without being extremely over on every rating. Especially a Ram 2500 diesel with a payload of 1900-2200 lbs. That 16k 5th wheel toy hauler with nothing in the garage is going to have a...

2024 Ram Limited 1500 - Failed less than 200 miles

What kind of actuator causes a battery to drain like that? While running the truck should be powered by the alternator.

    All going away..

You don't even with a dipstick. Color is not an indication of its condition.

    All going away..

Or they know that 95% of people never use the dipstick, or even know how to use it, regardless of it being there or not. And having a warning/level pop up on the EVIC gets people's attention. Sure the dipstick is cheap, but the sensor they're replacing it with costs more.

    Hurricane durability questions?

You might be thinking of the pentastar 3.6. But looking at photos of the 3.0 Hurrican you might be right. It looks like the turbo's are bolted directly to the head. They should spool pretty dang quick like that.

    Hurricane durability questions?

Why are people concerned about trans fluid levels? Is your trans leaking? If so, get the leak fixed. If not, then the fluid level will not change. It's a sealed system.

    Hurricane durability questions?

Very close in bore and stroke, plated cylinders, forged internals. overall dimensions are close. B58 uses a larger single turbo though, while the Hurricane uses twins. I start to wonder where they got their inspiration from for the Hurricane. There are couple I6 turbo engines that are pretty...

    Hurricane durability questions?

This engine is very similar to the BMW B58. Which, for all intents and purposes, is one of, if not the, most reliable engine BMW has ever made. Outside of a few small quirks, like all BMW's, like leaky valve cover gaskets, the engines are quite stout. Easily tuned to over 500 HP, beaten on and...

    All going away..

Was just going to post this. Audi, Mercedes, some BMW engines, Volvo, all don't have trans or oil dipsticks. I'm ok with the ZF8 not having a dipstick. But engine oil on a truck, especially work trucks used in the field, it's kind of needed. Maybe the aftermarket will come out with a solution.

RAMCARES, any update on full screen Android Auto?

It probably will, in a future model year. Just like they didn't release a software update to enable AA/CP on the 8.4 until 2018. For 2017 and prior years, well, you just have to buy a 2018 truck for that feature.
