I changed strut to Bilsteins. I didn’t find anything wrong with cv. I think one rattle was from strut studs poking through the top hat spacers rattling on strut pockets in engine compartment.
Yes, 5th gen. I took the struts out and cut original 3 top studs down. All good now. Before they stuck up above the aluminum lift spacer on top of strut.

I just got back from a 1000 mile trip. The new tank and filler did the same as the old one. Click off at the pump at 3/4-7/8. I need to look into the 33 gallon.
I picked up my truck today after the dealership replaced the 23 gallon tank. They filled it with gas and it was full when I picked it up. We’ll see how it goes.
I think you’re on to something here but I made it clear I understand that I would need several new parts including a fuel pump to make it work. I’ll try a different dealership.
I have the truck off completely. I get done filling and start the truck and get on the road and it never goes higher than 3/4-7/8. Several different stations.
