    You would be happy with the V6. Easier maintenance and better mpg. The only thing I wouldn’t be happy with is when I start it up in the morning or step on the gas pedal to go fast. Hearing my hemi roar is worth it

    I just had my lifters and cam replaced last year at a dealer. It was only 5,400 vs 10k for a new motor.

    I had my cam and lifters replaced after #5 went bad at 135k miles on my 2016. I now have 175k miles and it’s still going strong!

    I hate to say it but this is exactly what my truck did when my lifter went bad and ate my cam. Except I was on cylinder 3. It’s been 50k miles since I had them all replaced and a new cam and the truck runs great. Just wasn’t cheap

    The only reason I would buy the v6 is for the easy oil changes. Other than that I pick the hemi all day. Just hate changing its oil because it’s a messy business to that oil filter off and out.

    2016 ram 1500 lifters went bad and ate the cam at 130k miles. Now have 145k on it and it runs great after replacement

    I didn’t get pictures of the lifters but they did replace all of them. As for oil I used 5w-20 castrol edge full synthetic and k&n oil filter changed about every 7k miles.     I really hope it did. Unfortunately I had to have the dealership do these repairs as it’s a little bit outside my mechanical expertise but they claimed everything looked good. I guess time will tell if anything is else is damaged in there from the metal.

    Well everyone it turns out I definitely had destroyed lifter in cylinder 3. Ate my Cam for dinner. Here is a picture. She runs great now and hope it holds out another 130k.
