An update: decided to do the cam/lifters/seals in lieu of a whole new motor. A follow up question: how much experience does anybody have with a recurrence of this issue after the initial problem and having a new cam and lifters installed?? Thanks!
Ok on further exam of the scope of their proposed work, they'd be doing: cam, all lifters, exhaust bolts, gaskets for- L and R heads, exhaust manifold, timing cover, intake. This still seem overpriced?? Thanks for your replies.
