    An update: decided to do the cam/lifters/seals in lieu of a whole new motor. A follow up question: how much experience does anybody have with a recurrence of this issue after the initial problem and having a new cam and lifters installed?? Thanks!

    Ok on further exam of the scope of their proposed work, they'd be doing: cam, all lifters, exhaust bolts, gaskets for- L and R heads, exhaust manifold, timing cover, intake. This still seem overpriced?? Thanks for your replies.

    First post here so apologies if this is the wrong location. Wanted to pick the brains on here as to a ballpark list price for my '11 2500 5.7 ST 4WD, stock crew cab, with full fiberglass topper. 87k miles. The catch is it needs a new cam/lifters per my local dealership and I'm on the fence...
