I recommend pulling the inner panels and removing the glass (not actually removing it but taping it up using masking tape). I too used the Noico sound deadener (80mil) throughout and put Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro MLV + Foam on top of that from front to back. 3" Rough Country Lift or Bilstein 5100s

Help! ALFAOBD mileage correction not working
This guy didn't have any issues. I think the part that a lot of people aren't doing is the VIN write to the cluster so I would try that and see if you're still getting errors. Video was uploaded only a few days ago. AlfaOBD walk through starts at 13:30- skyline090
