Bought Bilstein 6112 and not sure if they fit ugh

I just went to Rockauto.com. Every single strut has exact same part number for all three motors. I also looked at Mopar, and the same shock fits all three. The springs, though there are several part numbers, all list all three motors.

    Harbor Freight tool chests?

I came real close to buying the US General until I saw my friend's Milwaukee roll-aways. I now have three Milwaukees. Price was great! On sale at home depot. If not for these, I'd own the HF ones.

Slide in camper & towing trailer

Even if you find a slide-in truck camper that is lightweight, you still have to account for your gear. And those advertised camper weights are dry weights. And you'll be hardpressed to find one on the cheap. Truck campers are super pricey. And it's difficult to find a used one in good shape...

Time for some new tires. Recommendations?

I have Cooper ATPs. Discount Tire is the only one that sells them. I have them on my Ram 1500, and my wife's jalopy ('04 Jeep GC). Love them. I put Cooper AT3s on her newer Jeep GC, only because I couldn't get the ATPs in the right size for that vehicle. I have over 80k miles, yes miles...

    Ram outdoorsman 5.7 MPG

My .02 cents... Mileage varies based on so many things. Location, truck mods, truck condition, driver variables, etc. Location. Driving through the mountains, like when I drive from New Mexico to Utah. I fill up half way. And in every single vehicle I have driven thru that route, the second...

Champ PH48 oil filter cut open

With regard to changing the filter, and the associated mess...I have found that if you drive the truck on ramps, you can get yourself between the front suspension and the radiator. Easy to reach the filter. Before I discovered this, I tried to get something under the filter to catch the...

    1500 Eats Tires!

If you are on the farm, and towing goosenecks, let me piggy-back what others have said. If you don't have LT tires, as in, load range "E", you are going to keep replacing tires on that truck. A few others have mentioned Michellins. They are very good tires, but they are also expensive. Not...

    34.3 " tires (275/65R20)

I went with that size so I could get an E rated tire for towing, and for more plies to reduce chance of punctures/blowouts. I run 60 psi. This truck rides so well, the higher psi doesn't bother me. They are 34.21" tires. Since putting new rims on, I get slight rubbing at full turn, and this...

    First oil change

All new vehicles in my garage, first oil change @1,000 miles. This gets OEM "break-in" oil out. Then again @2500. This gets rid of any residual oem oil and any break-in metal that's in the oil. Then 5k. And then 10k. At 10k I switch to full synthetic. And then every 10k. Synthetic is...

    Towing Mirrors

My first Dodge Ram, a 2000 2500, had the regular mirrors. I hated them. I put the clip-ons for towing, and they shook so bad that they were useless. I was looking in my owner's manual, and came across the flip-out feature of towing mirrors. I was mad that I didn't have them. Got rid of that...

Inside tire spins when taking off and turning

I don't have the torsen, I have LSD in both my 1500 and 3500. The LSD's will "lock" under a certain amount of torque. If you apply that amount when starting out (certain amount of throttle applied), and you're starting out straight, and then turn, either left or right, you are going to notice...

    Hemi Time Bomb

It could be lifters, it could be the exhaust manifold. I was "certain" that the ticking I heard on my '15 Ram 1500 Hemi was lifter tick. After lots of research, a lot of which was on this site, I learned about the exhaust leak that happens on the rear of the exhaust manifolds. And it sounded...

Tires for Towing (yes, another tire thread)

With these coil spring rear suspension, the ride is great...until you hook up a trailer. Combine that with crappy C rated tires like the SRAs, and towing is un-fun. At 20k miles, I got rid of the BadYear SRAs (surprised I waited that long) and put Cooper Discoverer AT3s. Love these tires...

    Hi. New member and question.

nospillsystems.com I like these better than FEMCO. Only thing I don't like is that the hose is needed, and one hose doesn't fit all plugs. But I have a plug like this on 4 vehicles (currently) and have had them on all vehicle for last 20 years or so, ever since I first saw one at Geno's...
