yeah, its total BS. Once I hear people are getting their steps replaced, I'm heading back down there to have a talk.

Bed step recall - dealer wants to delete

Yep, I think you are right... Best I can research is the recall has two courses of action. W24 for the trucks with steps that made it out on the streets, and W44 for trucks that have the step removed before delivery. With W24, they will replace it. W44, No replacement. Mine was filed as W44 I...

Bed step recall - dealer wants to delete

I’m in the same boat. When I made the deal on my truck (2019 2500), the step was on it. Was one of the options I was interested in getting. The bed utility option was $695 and I was happy to pay it. While completing the paperwork, the dealership said they had to do a quick recall before it...

    4.56 or 4.88 w/ 6.4

Two thoughts I had when deciding on a gear change. First was utilizing factory AAM gears. I'm not a fan of buying foreign made components if I don't have to. I did not want to compromise on something like this if I was spending that kind of money. I found a local shop that uses factory parts and...

    4.56 or 4.88 w/ 6.4

I regeared my truck to 4:56's about a year ago. I cruise the highway at 2,000 RPM's at 70 mph. I typically see 16/17 mpg on the highway and 13/14 in town (summer gas and calculated via the dash). In the winter I lose about 1mpg. Towing my trailer, I see 7/8 mpg depending on load and headwinds. I...

    Bilstein HELP please

I had a 2015 3500 and the ride was unbearable. I ended up changing the springs front and rear. I used the Bilstein kit for the front, and Carli add a packs in the rear. Drastically improved the ride. It did lose some load carrying capability but it was fine for my needs. Carli Link...

    6.4 Hemi Gear Swap

Break them in right and you will love having those 4:56's. I can't say enough good things about changing from my 3:73's to the 4:56's. My mileage is about 16/17 on the highway and 13/14 in the city.

    Rear End Whine

I'm noticing a whine noise on mine but it only does it in 6th gear. If I manually shift to 5th, its gone. I currently have just over 10k miles and I think mine is in the transmission. I spoke with my dealership and they are more than happy to look into it, I just need to make some time to leave...

    Smoke on startup

I have been running 91 octane with my 6.4 pretty much its entire life, at 9500 miles. Mine will still puff a little bit of blue smoke when I start it every now and then. It's not fuel related, it's oil related. I've seen this in all of the Hemi's I've owned over the years and it has never been a...

4.56’s or 4.88’s (about to pull trigger)

With the increased torque of the lower gears, your trucks ability to spin the tires will increase. The limited slip will function as intended and you will be doing two wheel burnouts with ease. :driver:

4.56’s or 4.88’s (about to pull trigger)

I would recommend 4:88's, unless you tow heavy. I considered 4:88's but was concerned about pinion size, and the stress on it with towing. Remember, the higher numerically you go on gear sets, the smaller the pinion gear gets. Also you end up with less surface area across the gears which causes...

    6.4 Hemi Gear Swap

Here's how I found my driveline shop. Then I checked Yelp for reviews. http://www.demandaam.com/locate-a-distributor

    6.4 Hemi Gear Swap

I did not look too far into the 4:44's. After seeing posts about engine RPM's in relation to the different gear ratios, I was actually comparing 4:88's to 4:56's. I knew if I went too far with gears, I could step up to 35" tires to compensate. If I didn't go enough, I would be stuck living with...

Trailer Hitch Pin Hole Wearing Out

Its wearing on both side. I always install the pin from the same side so the bent part is on the drivers side. Its crazy to me that the thickest steel on the truck is wearing. I'll try a different pin, then see how it does. Worst case, I'll have it replaced under warranty right before it expires.
