Finally figured to disable the slam with the door open

For the tight parking spaces we have, I use rubber floor stops. Drive the car to the point youy want it, set the parking stop tight against the tire, painless. Does it creep? Maybe, a very small amount. But I have never had to move it over thge course of a season. Ant it can be anchored, if you...

GM driver, looking at new Ram 1500, should I?

I was a GM guy for 30+ years. Bought a 2014 1500 without really thinking about it. Drove it for 4000 miles and bought a 2015 Ram 1500. Liked it so much I then bought a 2020 Ram 1500. No "real" complaints - a couple relatively minor things fixed under warranty. My 2015 is now owned by my son. We...

Why should I stay with RAM?

I'd like to see that. As far as I know, they only have generators in their Class B Motorhomes, not the TTs. We are looking at the top-of-the-line Classic.

Why should I stay with RAM?

F250 currently has ProPower, although it's "only" 2.0kw. Still a lot more than 400w or the 300w solar power system on the Airstream.

Why should I stay with RAM?

...and this is part of my research. Getting feedback from people that have no compensatory angle is some of the best available.

Why should I stay with RAM?

The limiteds (both Ram and Ford) ONLY come with a diesel. I refuse to buy a diesel, so a Limited has less than limited appeal to me.

Why should I stay with RAM?

I am looking at the 10k GVWR setup. Yes, they do have upgrades from there but I don't see the need in my application.

Why should I stay with RAM?

6.4 is not available in the 1500 from the factory. So no, I do not have the 6.4.

Why should I stay with RAM?

You can't get a RAM Limited with a Gas engine. At least, according to their site.

Why should I stay with RAM?

I'm not sure what you're referring to? FYI I did compare the Platinum to the Lariat, and by the time I got the options I wanted on the Lariat it was as much as the Platinum (on which there are virtually no dollar add-on options), but missing some things.

Why should I stay with RAM?

Actually, the Laramie and Platinum are both the highest trim level available with a Gas engine. Anything higher from either company have a diesel, which makes them totally inadmissible for me.

Why should I stay with RAM?

That IS a consideration. But it's just one more Thing to maintain. If I went that route I'd probably go dual/tri-fuel so I could plug into the RV propane tanks.

Why should I stay with RAM?

No, I have "armchair QB'd a possible play". I came here for a reality check. This is the kind of info I am looking for - thanks! Again, this is the real world info I am looking for. Thanks. What I was really hoping for was someone that came FROM Ford TO Ram and hear their reasons. Taking all...

Why should I stay with RAM?

We are planning to trade in our Class-C motorhome for a travel trailer. While my 1500 technically has the capability of handling a 10k trailer, I do not want to be running near the limit for thousands of miles so I will be going to a 3/4 ton. I was just going to go with a new Ram because I've...
