FYI I did compare the Platinum to the Lariat, and by the time I got the options I wanted on the Lariat it was as much as the Platinum (on which there are virtually no dollar add-on options), but missing some things.
Actually, the Laramie and Platinum are both the highest trim level available with a Gas engine. Anything higher from either company have a diesel, which makes them totally inadmissible for me.
That IS a consideration. But it's just one more Thing to maintain. If I went that route I'd probably go dual/tri-fuel so I could plug into the RV propane tanks.
