Can the 66rfe be rebuilt with a 68rfe rebuild kit?
You would think but a 68rfe isn't actually an upgrade in itself its the other components, using the 68rfe rebuild kit in a 66rfe just gives you a rebuilt 66rfe.. if you wanted to build a 66rfe for more power that would cost roughly 7k or so..- Thelegendl23

Thank you! I live miles from any resources and funds are limited so I can't do what anyone else suggested, I am not trying to upgrade it like others suggested it's actually much simpler. I can only have items shipped ups for a heavy fee OR have items held at the local post office which doesn't...- Thelegendl23

2015 5.7 hemi 2500? Anything to watch for?
I have a 15 ram 2500.. expect to do lifters and rollers if you buy a hemi, if you don't end up doing it great! I have the 6.4 and 5.7 both are solid and close to the same motor mechanically speaking. All trucks have issues.- Thelegendl23

Ram 2500 junk?
No that truck its perfectly acceptable for all but the lifters and cam.. thats my toy. The truck in question is my daily driver highway only work and back, I'm in IT I do not tow.- Thelegendl23

A camshaft and lifters is ordinary? Did I make you upset? Calm down a bit there pal. This truck is a highway vehicle and is babied.. no a steering box should never ever go bad at 90k and neither should really a whole lot else. Well let's see, I have a 15 ram 2500 hemi. In the last month here is my failures. 85k miles im the 2nd owner. Camshaft Bank 1 roller rockers (did them all) 2 abs sensors Drag link Track bar Steering box Front and rear shocks None of this was done by choice.. check engine code for the cam...- Thelegendl23

Tire shop didn't tighten my lug nuts..so the wheel fell off on the freeway
Uh yeah.. about that.. I was 5 miles away.. it had been only 20 minutes. They showed up to the scene in 20 minutes and immediately wanted the vin and started ordering parts... I guess that's why they paid to replace.. the wheel hub seems good? Wouldn't it make noise?- Thelegendl23

I was 5 miles and 20 minutes from this tire shop.. I had not even driven the full 5 miles yet when it happened. Long story short they replaced what was damaged with parts and I installed everything. Just the rotor and lug studs and a fender and the rim... Anyways, the issue now seems to be...- Thelegendl23

Lol never heard of the big 3 done in 3rds.. haha! It helps substantially, Ive seen post after post "newer trucks don't need it" but what facts do you have to back that up?
