Its interesting that CarPlay is working with your URAM. From everything I have read online it seems very hit and miss. Some people have got it to work with CarPlay and some people have not (e.g. Crutchfield has a ton of complaints saying that it doesn’t work for car . I’m not sure why.
Unfortunately the URam doesn’t work for a lot of people. For example, the circuit board and port layout in the ~2018 tradesman trucks isn’t compatible with it. Also, CarPlay isn’t supported.
I have been working a solution for getting USB ports into the armrest for use with after market radios that won’t work with the hub. I removed the USB hub, replaced with this module and ran usb extensions from the aftermarket radio into the arm rest to connect to the two male plugs on this...
I haven’t come across a viable solution. Idatalink makes URAM which replaces the usb hub circuit board but it doesn’t fit the 2018 usb hub. Even if it did, many people have trouble getting carplay to work with it.

Only headache is...
Maybe they changed the design but didn’t update the pictures? In the 2018 there are two USB ports separated by the aux jack in the middle.
I’ve read reviews that the URAM didn’t support CarPlay? Can anyone confirm?

I have a 2018 with the RA1 radio. Whenever I try to connect my iPhone to the radio via the usb in the center console it takes forever! I get a “Loading Media” message on the radio for 2-3 minutes before it works. I have tried brand new USB cables from Apple. Completely new installs of iOS on the...
