2018 RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Fill Issue

UPDATE: I replaced the charcoal canister, like you said, it wasn't too difficult however, it did not fix the problem. After about adding 4gals, it started shutting off on me. So, I guess I will be ordering a gas tank. Can you let me know where you bought yours? I would send a private msg but I...

2018 RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Fill Issue

Thanks again for the insight on what is holding the canister in place however, I understand that I don't need to drop the tank but obviously I will have to loosen the straps in order to remove the heatshield. I should be able to support it with floor jacks correct?

    Fueling issues

Why does everyone post that the entire tank is replaced? Why not just replace the MFCV? Do all tanks come with the MFCV bolt into them?

    Fueling issues

UPDATE. I contacted Ram Care and they just said I have to take it to a dealer to get diagnosed before they will help. I called dealer and they say $120 to diagnose only but if they do the work they deduct that from work.

    Fueling issues

I have a 2018 V6 Big Horn. Bought it February 2021. Had no issue until September 2021. Now I can only put less than $1 of gas in at a time and have to keep repeating until i think it is close to full. Takes forever. They need to do a recall. I filed a complaint with nhtsa.org. Maybe if more...

    Considering buying 2018 Big Horn

Just a regular daily driver. I understand that some are more purists when it comes to trucks and always feel bigger is better and that is fine, because that is their opinions like you said and that is why I posted the question. I respect different opinions and it helps with the process!

Yep not going to be hauling a bunch of stone or other heavy stuff. I don't have a big trailer to pull either. It is really just a daily driver and normal use truck.
