AMP vs Go Rhino Power Running Boards

Just finished installing the Rough Country e-boards today. Install wasn't bad, although having my truck undercoated with Woolwax made it a bit messy. Tightening a few of the bolts is painful--mostly because my ratcheting, box end 10mm is missing. Always that one! Anyway, the work great, no...

AMP vs Go Rhino Power Running Boards

That would be my only reason. I think there is a little less tolerance for imperfect alignment with the single drive arm. The AMPs on my old 2500 were flawless for over 10 years and 120,000 miles. I did have to replace the computer module just prior to selling it, but that was because of a...

AMP vs Go Rhino Power Running Boards

I've used AMPs on two vehicles, but they were both manually wired vs the OBD interface. Comparing the AMPs, GoRhino, and Rough Country now. AMP uses the OBD interface, which means you need a splitter to keep an open OBD. AMP also uses a single powered arm on each side. My previous experience...

Rear Springs for Lift and Tow

Thanks! Sounds like a bit of a mismatch between shock valving and spring rates. That's one of my concerns.

    New to me truck

Yep. One of my deer was actually on the rear bumper--she ran headlong into the rear quarter, got snagged by the rear bumper, and went under the trailer I was towing. The elk barely clipped the bumper, but landed squarely on the hood and took off the passenger mirror as the rolled away.

Rear Springs for Lift and Tow

Still in the planning stages, but I think I am going with Fox 2.0s all around. I'm looking at 2 to 2.5 up front. I'm torn between Icon 1.5", Eibach 1", or the TufTruck 1223VT springs for the rear to maintain a little rake. The truck will almost always have a canopy (pap cap) and a rubber bed...

    Rear bump stops

Any of you ever try these?

    New to me truck

LOL, none of those animals were struck while driving over the speed limit. 2 deer in Texas, one in Idaho, one in Nebraska. Elk in Idaho. The only one in full daylight was an Idaho deer that committed full on suicide while I was moving at 30mph (in a 35).

    New to me truck

Sweet! Mine still has the stock SRA tires. I barely pull myself through the snow, let alone anyone else! Just making decisions on wheels, tires, and a mild lift before I jump into the mods. I had front an rear Ranchhands on the 2500 in my icon. That front bumper accounted for 3 deer and one...

    New to me truck

Nice! I'm just up the road, and just acquired my Bighorn. Same config, just different wheels. These won't be on for long!

A little coating comparison I did this week.

    Christine is looking mighty fine.

    Steel Bumper Recommendations

Outstanding job! I'm kind of partial to the bumpers that are lower under the headlights, with a vertical wrap that comes up to the lights. Just looks a little less bulky. Of course, integrated skids that cover all the junk underneath from a side angle are an absolute must. Wish you were a...

    20s Offroad?

We have the same Jeep, Hemi included, 177K miles and still unstoppable!

Pic request aftermarket 17s. Bonus if Delmonico Red.

@ram1500rsm love the set up you have going, and it looks right! I also love the low slung 20's look, though. I'd definitely follow your lead on the whole set up if I was doing more offroading. I wonder how the Delmonico would look with black bumpers, black flares, and some good meaty tires...

    20s Offroad?

This is for the 2019 Classic Bighorn. Truck currently has black 20s, and I picked up a set of polished Sport wheels to throw on when I upgrade tires (when the other two trucks sell!). I'm planning to lift 2" in the front, 1" in the rear with a topper. I'm planning 34" diameter tires. I'm...
