I had a 2018 Mini Cooper like that and never quite trusted the "electronic info" on oil level, but I never had a problem with it. Just old fashioned I guess and like the visual of seeing oil on a stick, lol.
No oil dipstick? What is the thinking behind this..........kind of like to know the amount of oil consumption and making sure level is proper. I really don't like sealed transmissions without dipsticks either. Makes filling to the correct level a bit tricky, at least in the Titan Jatco 9 speed.
Unless you simply must have new bragging rights, why not give the Hurricane 6 a chance to prove (or disprove) itself? First year always presents a few more growing pains.
Inventory nationally is growing overall; with truck prices jumping 10-20% since Covid, people are tightening their wallets. There are discounts (vary by region) now, but as to whether 6 months will change the current situation, it’s a crap shoot. A truly spectacular “buy it now” price would be...
3 years is a good run. Batteries used to just keep radio station memory when ignition was off. Now they power computers and can go dead if you don’t drive them every week or two.
For the first time in decades, I have turned to used as I refuse to support the ridiculous price hikes of new trucks-all brands for that matter. The new truck fairly priced is the Titan and that's probably because they are going away within the next year or two. I see that now RAM is offering...
Don't know why they (FCA/Stellantis) have not continued to perfect and refine the hemi V8 over the years. We still have to deal with broken exhaust manifold bolts.
I hate to read stuff like this-you basically purchased a truck as expensive as a home and company won't stand behind it. Haven't seen your posts for a bit so I imagine you got rid of it. Not much else you can do at this point.
Hope you get this resolves. It's easy to miss a flaw in the buying excitement. Happened to me once before I learned that new cars can be partially repainted at the dealership w/o disclosing the damage.
Glad you are getting it resolved. Perhaps if it were better paint or applied and prepped better it wouldn't have chipped, as much. Rocks are going to ding it regardless, so this time get some clear protective covering that goes to the body line and you should be good. Flaps help reduce rock...
