Stalling when cold issue? Any ideas what to try?
I edited my last post instead of replying lol. I went out and checked real quick, I do have the 6.4L injectors, I checked the part number. I pulled the fuel rail and turned it around, and then reinstalled. It's got a tune from J Greene with an AFR gauge and diablo tuner, so I don't think thats...- tvizzle

I used the 6.4 injectors and just flipped the rail around. It is tuned with an AFR w/ J Green. From his end, he said it looks like possibly an exhaust leak issue or a vacuum leak, but I've already checked that.- tvizzle

Heyall! I have a 2012 Ram 2500 5.7L with a 2015 Ram 6.4 Intake. I did do the swap myself, so I'm not ruling out a forgotten plug somewhere, but it looks like it's put together! It stalls out when it's cold. If I'm putting around the RPMs will surge a bit, and if I floor the throttle...- tvizzle

Noise when going over bumps? Going crazy!
Any ideas of what to check? I've already done the standard search: Jack truck up, wiggle tires, 4 link, steering column and linkage. Replaced a-arm ball joints. Tightend shocks down. Would codes show up w/ OBDII/ engine light? If so, theres none. The trans filter was probably never changed. I suppose I can get greasy and try that. The fluid is a nice normal looking red though.- tvizzle

2017 5.7 Hemi into a 2012 Ram help
For anyone else looking for help in the future - the Harbor freight blind bearing puller #62601 will remove the bearing/spacer on the crank. Connect the biggest one and it'll slide hammer out with WD-40. After that, the 2017 engine into a 2012 is plug and play. Use old sensors. Tone ring isn't...- tvizzle

Bump for working pics Crash - I've done a similar swap in the past and used the old tone ring sensor on the newer motor and it worked good. I've read that too though. I got a newer junkyard motor to throw into my 2012 truck. I have the 6 speed trans. Didn't realize the new motor had the 8 speed trans. I found out when the motor wouldn't fit! Forgot to remove torque converter!!
:favorites13: It all checked out. The trans is almost perfectly balanced where Chrysler mounts it. I can grab the input shaft and lift the whole tranny up and with one hand easy. Thank god!- tvizzle

Forgot to remove torque converter!!
I pulled out my old engine 2012 Ram 2500 5.7. I spaced out and didn't unbolt the torque converter. How to I know if I damaged the input shaft or main trans seal? I dont mind paying for tranny work. I don't want to put it back together without knowing its good to go. I can say the engine...- tvizzle
