    Installing OEM backup cam

Thanks for the extra info on those connectors. I am going to save that for some of the other projects I may pursue in the future. I was able to successfully use the add-a-circuit to tap into the fuse circuit for the rear camera power in the PDC, and success! I now have a fully functional...

    Installing OEM backup cam

So cutting the yellow wire and using its connector to tie into the unpopulated PDC port was a no-go, the pins in the PDC are a larger size, or multiple sizes depending on location. So now I am waiting on delivery of my add-a-circuit.

    Installing OEM backup cam

I had the same thought early this morning regarding the unused yellow wire and its pin. I also ordered a micro2 add-a-circuit to connect into the existing fuse location as a backup (because both the standard and mini sizes I already had don't fit %*%$%$#*^). The power wire as supplied in the...

    Installing OEM backup cam

I was able to connect the purple wire. I rechecked the instructions and found different instructions for upgrading from RA1 radios. The purple wire connected into slot 45, but there were also instructions to connect the yellow wire. What is the yellow wire for, as I see most people haven't...

    Installing OEM backup cam

I also finally got my BCM connector disassembled, to find that slot 45 does not have any wire connected to it. So would I just connect straight into these two slots with the wires from the kit rather than splicing into anything? And where can I get the connections for the end of the wires...

    Installing OEM backup cam

So from the photos posted for the PDC, my wiring looks completely different. I don't have anything at the spot shown in the other pictures, my pk/yo wire is several spots to the left. 13' 2500 tradesman. So where do I connect to?

    Installing OEM backup cam

Major rain storms here last night, so it got postponed till tonight. Fingers crossed the rain quits.

    Installing OEM backup cam

Yeah I am thinking the same thing, hoping to connect it up tonight and see if everything's good. That post really helps to confirm the PDC wire, thanks for that. On the wiring for the radio connector, yep I saw that post after I had wired it the wrong way, I think I've got it correct now. I am...

    Installing OEM backup cam

This is good to know. I have the camera wired into what I think are the correct spots on the radio connector (there are some differences of opinion out there, and when I wired it the first time after depopulating some wires, the radio wouldn't come on). When I switch to reverse the radio...

    Installing OEM backup cam

Ok so I got stuck on this part of the install. How do you disassemble the C5 connector? Or should I just solder the wire in without disassembling it?
