    Trailer brake controller

I bought an OEM controller online and had the local dealer install and program it. I have the full center console and did not want to deal with the install. The cost to install and program was actually pretty reasonable.

Should I Add The OEM Trailer Braking Module And Get Alfa OBD, Or Go 3rd-Party?

I bought the OE controller online and had the local dealer install and flash. The cost to install and flash was pretty reasonable. I have the full center console and did not want to deal with trying to install it.

    Remote oil filter how-to

I installed the 1127 kit on my Ram this past Saturday. Fired it up and had oil pouring onto the driveway. There is a hole in the casting of the engine block adapter. I called Hedman and they told me to contact Amazon for a replacement. They would not cover anything for all the lost oil I had...

Orientation of LED's in fog lights

My Hi/ Lo and fogs are all oriented with the chips at 9 and 3.

    Oil Filter Thread

I bought the Trans Dapt 1127 for my Hemi. I have a couple extended length filters left from my 3.8L V6 Wrangler. PL20195 and PH3600. These filters have the correct thread and gasket, 12 psi bypass and are much larger than the stock filter for the Hemi but a little smaller than the XG8a. Do...

    Front parking sensors

My 2017 Big Horn has 2 buttons to turn off the Front and Back sensors. I use it to turn off the fronts because they are very sensitive and go off in the rain or with a little snow on the bumper. I don't have that problem with my Cherokee.

Tired of "Back to Black" plastic trim restoring: Anyone Tried Painting?

I painted the fenders and rear bumper of my 2009 JKU with Krylon and it held up very well.

    Stock headlights upgrade

I installed LED bulbs in my 2017. Hi, Low, Fogs and others. What a difference it made. That was 2 years ago. Stay at 6,000 or lower, blue light is annoying. Only issue was with the Hi beams. I had to get a set with short bodies to fit the housing. Make sure you orient them properly...

    Camper shell

I have the LEER XQ on my CrewCab short bed. Bought it March 2020. Automotive style tip out side windows, frameless rear window. Makes the truck look more like an SUV. I had the Thule roof rails installed so I can use my HD Whisbar racks. They have promos for upgrades. I got the carpeted...

    Leveling by lowering the rear.

I also bought Pro Suspension 272920. Only issue I had was bottoming out from less suspension travel. I cut 1" off the rear bump stops but still bottom out on speed bumps. I have Firestone in-spring air bags to install. I also installed the Hellwig 7709 rear swaybar which really keeps the...

    Suspension Superstore 272920

I installed these almost 2 yrs ago, rides like stock. Only complaint is they bottom out easily. I cut the bump stops down about an inch. I installed a fiberglass cap a yr ago and the ride height still looks level. I have a set of Firestone in-spring bags I will be installing.

    Tires to replace stock goodyears

I had Cooper Discover HT on my Cherokee WJ and they were great. I plan on either the Cooper AT or HT on my Ram.

    Creaking/Squeaking Suspension

I would spray my suspension joints and urethane bushings w/ WD-40 once a year on my JKU Wrangler. I should do the same with my Ram and Cherokee..

    Power Folding Mirrors Sticking

Mine has frozen closed on a couple cold mornings and I had to bump it to free it. I want to spray a little silicone in the joint because its cleaner. WD is pretty thin- maybe one of the specialty WD would work better.

    Window visors

I went with Weathertech. Co-worker has them and I liked that they were more streamlined than the AVS I've used in the past. Weathertech fits in tight and uses minimal tape.
