I just ordered a 2016 Ram 1500 Limited

It's the new top of the line trim level with the billet-style grill and big gaudy RAM on the tailgate, LOL. It will be silver, 4WD, Hemi, 3.92 gears, Rambox, sunroof, limited slip diff, polished aluminum wheels, trailer towing package, Limited Appearance package, and pretty much everything else. Dealer has connections and says he should be able to get it in 6 weeks or so. Did not ask for a deposit because I'm a repeat customer. MSRP $59,465. I'm paying dealer invoice minus my trade and he will give me any factory incentives available at the time the truck comes in. Gossett Motors in Memphis. Needless to say, I am very excited!!!

Sounds like a nice truck! I am looking at a 15 2500 Laramie on Wed when I take mine in for warranty work.......I hope I don't like it lol!

Sounds awesome, not a bad deal considering your ordering a new model year that isn't even on the lot yet. Only problem is you have to own that thing in Memphis. Yuck. :puke:

Fancy. You get the incentives available at order or delivery, whichever is better. That usually only applies if it was ordered in your name. With no deposit I don't know how that works.

Keep us updated on if/when you get an email by Ram. Ordered mine almost 2.5 weeks ago and still haven't got the email.

Nice setup! Had planned to do the same thing but dealer gave me an offer hard to pass up on a Limited that was in stock.

I have already considered this. I would like for someone else to try it first, though. One of the reasons I ordered silver is that I figured it will have less contrast with all the the chrome than a dark color and thus hopefully tone it down a little.

From what I've seen the sheet metal is raised too, so it's not as simple as just removing the letters.

That's OK with me. I think the big RAM letters in the tailgate would look fine if they were just painted raised letters without the chrome letters on top of them.

I am going to paint the Ram's head on my tailgate (2015) body color as you mentioned to help blend it in. Similarly, it is set in an indentation in the panel so removing it leaves a depression. Most likely I will have to sand the chrome to a rough finish to get it to stick but it's not much surface area in comparison.

I just bought a 2016 RAM 1500 Limited EcoDiesel with RamBox. (Still on its way, but it was dealer ordered)

The first thing I plan to do is get rid of RAM billboard on the tailgate. They did have a late 2015 in the showroom and it did not appear to have and indentation or rise in the tailgate metal, It also moved when pried lightly indicating that it hopefully does not have an holes for clips. Looks like its just two way tape.

The second thing on my list is what to do with the front grill. I hate this new grill a little less than the RAM on the tailgate. I'm hoping I can cover the center of the grill or something simple without replacing the entire grill.

I'm hoping someone can confirm the underside of the RAM tailgate billboard letters soon

Its appears raised in the picture on the Rebal. The limited that I viewed up close and personal showed no sign of raised or indented letters.

I looked up the letter parts and the description on ebay is not good news...
