I've had all 3 and idk if there's anything that could get me to buy another ford. I test drove ecoboosts and I fail to see what anyone is bragging about. They sound bad they get worse mpg than a v8 towing and frankly the power is not impressive. If I had to buy a Ford it would have the 5.0. I am usually a pretty loyal chevy guy and I test drove 6 chevys to my 2 rams and I eventually chose my ram. They all have their upsides it's just personal preference.

Someone's always talking trash about the other, never gonna end! Evey manufacturer get a black eye along the way, Ram is the one taking the hit at the moment and let's face it, when you are the one making the most noise(market share keeps going up, and Ram is producing some really good trucks these days) you are gonna get attention, good or bad.

And when stuff like this happens, it makes it easier for the "other guys" to try and forget their black eyes and draw attention away from themselves and onto another. GM is still in hot water with the whole ignition thing..........

Only issue I have is I really wish Ram had a little better payload.........

And for the Ford folks, why in the world do they let Ford command so much money for their trucks??????? $61k for a F-150 Limited with a 5.0? Really?????

They are just jealous of how much better the RAM looks, besides their V6 sounds soo cool that they had to fake the V8 sound:

2015 Ford F-150 Fakes V8 Engine Noise in V6 Trucks

Their milage should have been much better if they had removed as much weight as they claimed, but its up to 700lbs, not 700lbs across the board. Even that was cooked up, it was comparing a 2014 model with a 5.0-litre V8 versus the 2015 model with a 2.7L V6.

Also the 5.0L in the ford trucks are really really tuned down from the 5.0L in the mustangs, Very Disappointing. Buddy bought his 2014 f150 with the 5.0L he likes it but still thinks my R/T is nicer... I drove his for a bit and not comfortable at all the interior is laid out in a odd way for my taste... all in all I wouldn't ever buy ones.. but you still cant put down the chevy and its LS based designed motor... still one of the best small blocks produced in the late models.. gotta give credit where credit is due.

I'll still stick with my Ram though... for a gasser.. but if I was buying diesel I'd go with the new ford 6.7L just my .02

Lol you need to take it with a grain of salt man. Each brand has its loyal followers. Hell I've always been a Chevy guy and I cut down Ford owners all the time. Especially the Mustang owners. Its all in good fun. I caught hell from my friends and co workers for buying a Ram. But guess what? Its my money and I work for it not them. Plus half of them dont even change their own oil so I find a certain level of humor in the fact that they somehow have an opinion that they believe is valid.
There is so much available ammo to use against Ford boys it's ridiculous. Just say something back to them lol

Ihad a bad expierence at my ford dealer when i was looking at trucks.. with that aside i was not impressed with the f150. It drove like a car not a truck and the power was lacking for a motor they charge another 6 grand for (which i could not afford anyways..). Interior sucked, and the suicude doors on the extended csb are stupid and non practical. The ram had me with everything the f150 didnt. I wanted an f150 so bad too but when i compared them the ram was a no brainer. Ford has its fan boys but bottom line the ram is a tougher truck

One thing for sure I don't agree with what my Ford buddies spout. I just don't like hearing them run their mouth. I had to force myself to look at fords. Trucks are commuter vehcles for me. First i could care less about the eco boast they can keep it. The ride is too stiff and worst they are not good looking trucks. Gmc / Chevy is kicking their butt in sales. I think its because the ford is a near ugly truck. I had a 2010 Sierra. It was a good truck. The redesign they did in 2013 missed the mark to me. Do not like the square wheel wells and the interior is fugly. My Ford guys will say my Ram is a good looking truck that rides well but the Ford will last longer. Bla bla bla

Again i just bought my truck so if the roles were reversed i would say hey enjoy the new truck.

But these Ford guys enjoy talking **** about Rams using the buy back as ammo. I should not care, i just think the are being imature dumb asses.

Why are you concerned with what others say?

This isn't Jr. High,,, Opinions of others are nothing more than that,, opinions,,

I like all trucks,,, Currently, I like RAMS the best, but I have not and will not swear allegiance to any one brand. If I had, I would still be in a Chebby.

I'll stick w/Ram until I think I find something else that I perceive to be advantageous for my personal needs. Simple as that.

i don't think it's really what they say but the fact that their lips are always flapping. i get the same thing from a few GM lovers i know and it really doesn't bother me at all but it does get very annoying when they absolutely refuse to shut up and drop it. even a year later they still go on about how much better GM is every single time i see them

Up until the time I bought my Ram, I was driving a 97 F250HD with the 460, it was a great truck but it drank the gas something fierce.

When I decided I was going to buy a new truck, the Ram was at the top of the list but I remained open to other makes and models. After searching for several months I finally found what I was looking for in my 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie. IMO, you get more bang for your buck with the Ram than what any other manufacturer offers.

And don't listen to your buddies, guys that are brand loyal aren't even worth talking too when it comes time to buy a new rig.

another ford fiasco....the V10. a friend bought one in an F250 when they first came out. i had my F250 with the 460. we lined them up one day on an interstate. it was a joke. then i went back and researched and saw that it was only 410 CI or something compared to the dodge 488 CI or whatever it was. either way, i think ford rushed to put out a V10 just to say they had one too but it turned out to be a downgrade from the 460

I've been driving Ford's for work trucks for years now... your Ford friends have nothing to brag about... they're not superior to a RAM in any way that matters...

The Ford guys at work are just gloating with, " Told you Rams are junk, soon it won't be worth ****!"

Hate to be a anger managemnt case but i just want to bust them in the mouth! ... bad!

So their beer can constructed V-6, "beats" a steel Hemi?! In which NON-cartoon universe would this be true? :idiot:

Tell them to hang around the water fountain, and stick to picking on Chebby guys with their V-5 Colorados.

When they finally GROW a pair, then they'll be permitted to hang out in the breakroom with FELLOW Ram owners. :smoke2:

Hang in there. Chrysler Fiat are not going under and the buy-back is not going to break them--they are allowed to resell fixed buy-back vehicles, so the worst effect is to depress resale value. I plan to drive my RAM until the wheels fall off or the Hemi dies.

So sit back and enjoy the ride (and horsepower) :burnout:

Threads like this are why I have so little faith left in humanity.

Just because you own a truck doesn't make it any better than another. Most of the **** said here is just stupid.

Why don't people just act like adults anymore?

I agree.
To be honest, based on the threads posted by the OP, he's just looking for validation on his new purchase (did I overpay? I rushed into it. I've had other trucks and this one is the best. Ford sucks etc)

I'm trying to understand the OPs point but just cant get it.

If you are happy with the truck, then whats the problem?
if your "friends" or co workers bad mouth your truck then who gives a fu*k?!! unless they are paying your bills what they say accounts for nothing!

this whole buy back crap is getting out of hand, their is nothing officially released, the NHTSA will get in alot of trouble because of this, your resale value wont plummet, the world will not end because of this issue.

if you are not happy i suggest you go sell your truck and buy a ford or chevy or toyota or whatever else will make your coworkers happy, otherwise be content with your choice and go enjoy your truck.

Whats to get? My coworkers irritated me a bit by droning on and on about their bullet proof Fords.

I did state that they acted like i insulted their manhood for not getting a Ford. Wierd too me.

They just wallowed in the fact that Ram was getting some bad press and I had to listen to them use the buy back to support their opinions.

I may not give a **** what they buy but they start talking **** about my truck is fighting words too me. Lol

I haven't lived anywhere where Ram is the most popular truck amongst people I know.

I believe in recent years Ram has done very well to design build and sell trucks that more and more people want.

Yes, the buy back thing is being overstated in the media. Hopefull its just a bump in the road but consumer confidence could be affected. My Ford buddies did get under my skin a bit i admit it. I guess i am the first Ram owner ever to get annoyed by Ford guys talking ****.

On the postive side.

I have two Chevy friends deployed right now. Whenever we were out and about they would ask to drivie my Express. They both tell me when they return they are going to buy a Ram.

Unlike my my Ford buddies that seemed physically dismayed and disgruntled that i did not buy a Ford i really do not care what my two Chevy friends buy.

But i love driving a Ram and i bet they will too!
