I switched mine out to OPT7 LEDs and I don't have the raining at night issue anymore. With the stock bulbs you can't see the lines very well, the LEDs on the other hand make them glow.

Can you post a link of what you bought and did you have any issues?

I've owned my '14 for about 4 months now and there are a few things lacking but I couldn't level any major complaints. I will not fault a pick truck for being a pickup truck. The "soft open" tail gate thing to me is silly.
One of the first things I did when I got this was go get about a 1/2 ton of mulch for the flower beds. It's a truck right?

I really like a truck with a true limited slip; but not necessarily a locker. A locker is unforgiving on the street and this truck isn't a trail rig. What it is equipped is a "anti-spin" which isn't either. It doesn't do that well on slick surfaces. (wet grass)

I wonder why these things LUG the engine in high gears when a down shift is needed.
The TCM relies on engine load information but I wonder why information from an inclineometer isn't part of the calculation. The information that suddenly you hit a 20% grade would be pretty valuable, and to get out of OD. Coming home yesterday; climbing the hill up to the street we live on the "Red Rammy" as my wife calls it; lugged up the hill, not down shifting, until it was way over due; then it downshifted, barked the rear tires as we continued up the hill.
This was a major issue with our 2004 Hemi Durango. 10 years later it is better but still an issue.

I'm confused, the 3.92 anti-spin differential in my truck is not limited slip? Could someone point me to the technical documents for FCA's implementation to compare to a traditional LSD?

The location of the hooks, I don't know if it's just quad cabs, but they should be located by the sides

4th Gen. "dislikes"?

The horn. No friendly short tap honk. Only a long "F-U!!!" blast.

The headlights.

Oil filter location.

Other than that, I really like my Ram.

Oh, and one more thing. The chrome latch on the center console reflects sunlight into my eyes when the sun is at a certain angle.

One more thing I've recently found... a thing someone here planted the seed on! The brake pedals awkward position. Never really thought about it, but it's like you have to lift your foot far too high for the brake pedal. I don't recall who originally said this, but thanks! :roflsquared:

I don't like that the truck has to be running to have the transmission in "neutral". If it is running and in neutral and you shut the truck off- it goes to park electronically.
I also don't like that they don't come with tailgate assist.

Other than those items I love this truck.

I'm assuming yours is an 8 speed trans, is so there is an override for the trans to be put into neutral. I believe it's behind a panel to the left of the steering wheel

If I understand correctly, the Ram antispin is a Torsen differential. It uses gears only, no clutches.

don't like the fact that the engine sounds like a swarm of locusts while accelerating... never noticed it til the weather cooled off & I started driving with the windows down.

about 1800 miles on my '16 Express. I wanted a basic truck (mostly due to cost) and that's what i got, buuuuut

I sorta expected steering wheel radio controls even at the Express level. I don't care for the radio touchscreen interface really. No off button, the volume displays every time you touch it.

I don't think sliding rear windows should be an option - I think they should be standard. From the factory, some sort of wheel well protection would be nice. I can't count how many Rams I have seen that are clearly not old, with rust all over the wells. On my F150 the wheel wells were the only place not rusting because of the factory flares lol

The 8sp is a very busy transmission but works pretty well. The slow downshifting bothers me - turning a corner at a few mph and then get on the gas and it hesitates while it downshifts - same for not quite stopping at a stop sign.

I also feel that I shouldn't have to watch my hood sheet metal flex at highway speeds because it's so thin. These are expensive vehicles and while that doesn't really affect anything, it kinda gets on my nerves :naughty:

That said, so far so good. There are a few things I have added like step bars for the gf, mudflaps (after chipping the hell out of the tailgate/bumper and rockers with 500 miles on it) and tailgate assist.
I"m thinking I'd better look into some subtle fender flares if they will protect the paint in the wheel wells.

I solved that by putting a muffler on at about 900 miles :roflsquared:

The fact they put white letter tires on the Sports. Totally stands out against the colour matched trucks. Have to flip them.

Since its almost 2017, All Rams need to come with factory steering wheel audio controls. It doesn't make any sense to not have it.

Biggest complaint is driver side lean, second would be oil filter location (i now have a remote filter), and paint quality is poor.
