Got T-boned this afternoon

I know what you are going through. My truck (Toyota Tundra) was T-bomed by a Dodge Neon. I was tipped over onto the drivers side and slid into a chevy SUV. I was the only one hurt. I got a broken hand, a broken hand, and a brand new Ram Laramie Crew Cab. It was worth the broken parts and the aggravation.

Holy crap!! Good to hear u made it thru that. A neon?? Tiped over a Tundra? Crazy!! He musta been flying.

I guess I got lucky, considering in my case that the other vehicle was a 90's grand prix. And they werent that light of a vehicle

I would have told her ins. company you had to have a truck.
Tell them you sometimes have to use it for business and you need one.
That is if your really want a truck for a rental

good luck! i was also t-boned a few months ago but on my drivers side. when i was ht my axle almost took the entire load of the car that hit me. believe it or not it didnt shift the axle to the pass side at all. yes the left one was bent and damaged but nothing else.

Just a little update.

Truck is at collision shop. So far the best estimate is at 12k.

Passenger side axle is bent. Housing did get tweaked to drivers side. Frame good. And lots of body work.

He faxed insurance the estimate. With OEM parts. Now its up insurance to use their formula to see if its worth fixing or worth more salvaged.

Not looking good

He does love that Vararam intake tho

I forgot to chime in on this. Anyone under the age of adulthood should always be checked over a second time within a week of any type of accident of this type. They're younger than us, it could take a week, or in the case of a hidden shoulder injury, months to show up. Any discomfort, whatsoever, take her in and demand an MRI on the cervical spine up, the lumbar, as well as shoulder and abdomen and lower back.

*Speaking from professional as well as personal experience here. Luckily I got my shoulder fixed, sort-of.

At 12k I agree things aren't looking great. I hope they do right by you. I have only had one car get totaled. Luckily we bought it cheap new and only owed 3500 on it. They gave us what we paid which was 13k. This was way back in 08 when the car was bought new and in 11 it was totaled with 35k miles.

The most important thing is you're all okay. But watch for things to happen as the shock wears off a little like another post said.

Total bummer about the truck. I've had mine now a month so I can only imagine what you're thinking. But it's a material thing and can be fixed or replaced. People can't. Keep us updated on what they do, as I'm curious how they rule on it.

There aint **** for '14 black express' for sale within 100 miles of me. The ones that are have less options. Been looking for the last 2 days in case it gets totalled. Daddy gonna need a new truck

Got some good news and bad news.

The wreck was my fault. She had the right of way.

Good news is I found a truck exactly like mine. Except it has the column shift. Waiting for that dealer to get back with me about some questions I have. The website says on thing in the description and further into the description it says somehing else.

Hoping it has the 5.7 hemi with 8speed. If not I gotta keep looking.

Also no word yet if its totaled. Should be hearing something today. Kinda hope it is. And the truck I found has the hemi with 8speed. Asking price is 1k less than mine was. And it has 10k less miles than mine did.

Just a heads up - I am almost positive the 8 speed never came with the column shift.

Correct, if it is the 8 speed it has the dial on the dash. The column shift is the 6 speed.

Salesman told me earlier its a 5.7 with 8speed and 3.21 gears.

Heres the link. It says it's a v8 and down further it says v6.

Dont know what to believe on that webpage.
