So my trucks is not blowing air out of the defrost vents and very little at mid level. Most is at the floor. So i figure it is probly the blend door. Where is the blend door located? And how do i acess it?

The blend door is on the pass side behind the dash. If the door is broken your better off buying the updated system for the truck. The dash dosent have to come all the way out of the truck but does have to be unbolted and slid towards the back of the truck. We had to replace the setup in the 05.

i pulled mine out by unplugging the harness, removing the 3 torqx screws from the blower, setting it to the side, and finessing it out. took all of 10 minutes. im going to replace with this one unless someone has a better option

i figured mine lasted for almost 8 years this should last the life of my ram

joe you will be happy that you pull it out. it doesnt get as cold as recirc but its way better than what you are dealing with now. mine failed last week

and here is what you will be replacing, i circled the blower motor on the bottom to show you what you will need to remove to get the broken recirc door out.

my man awedaniel found a kit where he just replace the broken door with a aftermarket one made of metal, it cost 130.00 and took him 1.5 hours to change it out. replacing the whole assembly looks to be a few beers long

thanks mike i got i taken care of today. just dropped the blower and reached in there and took it out feels alot better now. And it only took about 10 min. Took longer to get the tools out and put back than actually fixing it.

Yeah that will make it blow better but down here the recirc is necessary in the summer time. I'm goin to order the assembly and rip the dash out and make some changes while I'm at it

Theres something going on with my blend door to. Thinking it might have to do something with my gasket leaking and the vacuum leak it's causing.
