Ok my rear end went out on my 01 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L Gas.

My rear End is the Chrysler 9.25 4.10 Gear ratio.

Wondering if I can put a rear end in from a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 has the same gear ratio.

Both would be the 9.25 rear. If you can find one with a 4.10 ratio would be best. Otherwise gear swap. I don't think anything changed

Sorry forgot to put in there that mine is a 4x4 and the other one is from a 2wd

I don't believe they changed anything on the 4wd models for mounting of the rear axle.

Only Offroad edition 1500s had 4.10s. It will be hard to find another rearend with 4.10s

I found one with the same gear ratio 4.10 but it's from a 2wd and I have a 4x4. Wondering if I can do it or not
