I have a 2007 1500 4x4. I in the process of replacing the struts up front and have found what I thought was Bilstein struts but none I have seen was a complete assembly with the coil. I have a leveling kit on it. I am replacing the rear shocks with the Bilstein 5100 series.

From what I can tell, the Bilsteins don’t come with the cool spring already installed. You re-use your coil and upper mount. I could be mistaken, though. The adjustment is made by which position the lower perch is placed in.

He's correct. You reuse the existing coil

Outdoor76 I got the RC UCA's along with the Bilsteins. I love the look and the ride. Waiting for my tread to wear down and I'll go with bigger tires. Currently running Toyo Open Country AT 285/70R17. I posted a pic a few pages back on this thread.

my comments may be all wrong though, since you have a 2007 Ram, not a gen4. do your research in the gen3 section.

What he said...

They do not come with coil. U need to compress coils and swap out your struts for the bilsteins

Alright guys, need some help. The tire shop said that the flange (probably not the roght terminology) on the existing strut is welded on and that even if it wasn’t, there is a cap on top of the strut that wouldn’t allow the flange to slide off. He said I should be able to order just the flange from ram. Anyone run into this? See attached...

Just did my front bils at 2.1 and had terra grappler 295/60R20s installed today. The tires are rubbing on the UCA, so it looks like i will need a small spacer to give me some clearance. Is it normal for UCA to be the area people experience rubbing? I was under the impression i would just have some rubbing on the wheel well liner? Wasn't expecting UCA clearance problems.
