Bye Bye Ram!

So, after 55 days of ownership (yes, you read that correctly) some #!*!**!## decided he was going to make an illegal left turn from the right lane on a 2 lane divided highway, while traveling at 55MPH, because I guess he wanted to go into the WAWA or something, and slammed into me. Truck has been declared a total loss by my insurance company. The frame is bent and preliminary estimate to repair has already exceeded $17,000.

Bad news- my truck is totaled. I had JUST gotten used to it, figuring out where I wanted everything, etc.
Good news- I walked away without a scratch. And, State Police LIT HIM UP with charges.
Better news- Got the WHOLE thing on my dash cam. His insurance company had to accept liability with no fight. They're giving me more than enough to pay it off and put down on a replacement.

Just need to decide what to get....

Sucks about your truck. Glad you’re okay.
Dash cams should be the first addition we put on our trucks...glad it’s going to work out!!

maybe get a 2019 if you like them

Glad you're OK. Good prices on 18 Laramies. $10k-$12k in discounts. The 19 Ram doesn't have much in discount so prices are close to MSRP price.

Glad you're ok, sorry your Ram was sacrificed at the hands of another idiot driver. Glad you had a dashcam.

A local guy went to jail recently because his home security camera showed that his version of a confrontation with a teen at his front door was not exactly as he told it. Just something to think about because nobody is perfect all the time and a camera can tell on you too.

Happened in Maryland right? A lot of Eff'n crazy @$$, shouldn't be driving folks, in the D-M-V area, but a majority seem to be there.
I've been commuting to Germantown since December and I have seen some incredible acts of road terror and abject idiocy on 495/270.
