I wanted the center console. But ended up getting the bench. One of the loaners I got had the center console. Got a taste of both worlds. Imo, the center console looks better. But the bench seat comes much more in handy. Three cup holders, one for my drink and spit cup, one for the wife. I can still place my phone in between the drinks. I could put a lot of stuff in the console, tray on the floor comes in handy. To top it off, it's a seat.

While looking for my second ram, I made sure I got the bench. Although I wish the back side had charging ports for the back.

Bench all the way. The armrest is nice, tho the latch rattles. I like the extra storage, and the 3rd seat can come in handy. The biggest benefit, tho, is when we drive the 1k road trip to see parents. I have a soft cooler that fits perfectly between the middle seat and the dash. Holds a couple sandwiches and snacks along with munchies and a pair of beverages. With the center console all that stuff would be in the back and difficult for my wife to reach!
Best,
DG

Yes the bench is more practical/functional, especially in the regular cab. Tons of space. There its also a spot to put the aftermarket trailer brake control thats out of the way of your knee but not too far to reach. The center cup holder is a nice spot to but an iPad mount. Just the right height.

I just bought mine and one of the features that I had to have was the console. I love the look of the center console and happy with my choice. On the other hand I cant reach my wife's leg. ;)

I agree with this man. I actually love the bench seat. It has plenty of room to move around, and on the once a month trip we take to see family the extra cup holders always come in handy, plus I like having the extra storage under the seat. I have had loaners with the console and I just cannot seem to get into it. I really feel the cab FEELS a lot bigger with the bench, and thats part of the reason for me wanting a truck, the extra room. I dont personally feel I lost any internal 'style' with the bench, and I would probably miss it if I did not have it.

When you have the bench seat, the driver's seat is pretty much a bucket seat. It's not like the benches from the 80's with a single slab running door to door. I specifically sought one out.
I wanted a bench for the following reasons:
1) Just as comfortable as buckets
2) Driver's seat still moves independently
3) storage in both the fold-up part (which turns into the seat back when sitting there) as well as underneath the part you sit on.
4) Daughter rides there for short trips so we can sit three across and she can change the radio to horrible music
5) When backed into the garage with the passenger side against the garage wall, she can get in on the driver's side and scoot over.

Bench is not available on upper trims so it was not even a consideration.

That's why I got the Big Horn. It had most of the bells & whistles I wanted (uconnect 8.4 nav, heated seats, remote start, park sense, backup camera, dual climate control, etc) but still had the bench seat.
