Has anyone used the K-Source or **** clip on mirrors? I have a 2018 1500. Not towing my 10ft wide travel trailer that often or that far enough to justify swapping my stock mirrors.

I have these clip on mirrors from Amazon:

Fit System 80710 Snap-on Black Towing Mirror for Dodge RAM 1500/2500/3500 - Pair
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AFV7DI6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They fit well, look fine, and get the job done. Pretty easy to take on/off. Manual adjust of course, which is a pain to get set on the passenger side if you don't have help. They shake a little going down the road but not bad. All-in-all they're definitely not as good as factory tow mirrors, but for $40 I can't really complain.

I'd love to get the factory style mirrors but my current Laramie mirrors are chrome clad and power folding which i'd hate to loose (especially with the larger mirrors that stick out further even in non-tow mode). Best price I've seen on those is over $600. A bit cheaper if you don't care about chrome or power fold.

I have those same mirror extenders. They're ****ing garbage, especially the passenger side. The mirrors are small and flat providing very little field of vision. Plus they vibrate pretty good.

I went with the K-Source dual lens universal mirrors from E-Trailer. Less vibrations, better visibility. The convex outside mirrors really help with blind spots.

Also tried those clip on mirrors and they suck. Spend the extra money and get the oem tow mirrors. I got mine from A1 auto and they are great.

You must have had a bad set or something, I have the same ones and no issues with them. I wouldn't say the mirrors are small either, probably between 3"-4" wide.

There's a reason factory tow mirrors have a convex section. It's so you have a greater field a vision out of a relatively small surface area mirror. With those slide on sets I get to look at my passenger side trailer tires and that's about it. Probably not bad for a small trailer, but try towing a 27' trailer and you can't see ****.

I have the **** tow mirrors. The slide on kind. Like these...

Been using them since 2013. The only thing I do is put painters tape on the truck mirror to keep them from scratching.

Allenmp, can you take a pic with the mirrors down? Are they then at factory length down? Thanks

I think they are actually a little bit bigger than the original sport mirrors on the truck
Folded down they also have the blind spot mirror
If I remember right these were about 1-2 inches bigger glass wise than the old ones but not exactly sure

Did you already have turn signals and puddle lights in your factory mirrors?

No I didn't
I called the dealer and they said they could install the code for the puddle lamp and turn signal

Nice! How much if you don't mind me asking? I plan on pulling the trigger on new mirrors next year

I bought these mirrors for my 2017 to use when towing our trailer. It just makes no sense to spend hundreds of $$ like some of these people are telling you for mirrors that you might only use once or twice a year for a few days.
I just store mine in the trailer storage cubby where I store my WDH when not towing.
They are perfect for my needs and fit just fine, no rattling or adjustment needed even after hundreds of miles of towing.
I think they are a good deal for under $90 for the pair.
