Hey guy's any info on roof racks for carrying kayaks. I'm looking for a roof rack to carry 2 - 10' kayaks
while pulling my travel trailer With my Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I'm looking for a quality rack that won't damage the roof of my truck. Seeing as Mopar does not offer anything, I need to turn to the aftermarket to find something any input would be appreciated.

I would be looking at ladder racks for carrying kayaks. I would rather not drill into the roof. I do like the look of roof racks though.

Your three choices for roof racks are Yakima, Thule or Rhino Rack, none require drilling. I use Rhino Rack, but for surfboards. Personally, for kayaks I would probably get bed racks. Might make for easier loading/unloading. They would cost a bit more than roof racks from the manufacturers I mentioned. If price is an issue you could go with ladder racks or something like Trak Rak.

I was looking at the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero 2500 rack that attaches to roof edge with clamps and use the kayak "J" bars . I don't think a bed rack will work for me because they will stick out the back, and interfere with the travel trailer when hooked up. Thanks for the input so far.

The Vortex 2500 will definitely be the best bang for your buck.
