I have a problem with the back power window . Water is leaking in. I had the window changed , once because it broke and once because I thought it was improperly installed but that wasn’t the problem.
Where can the water be coming from . The roof ,the back light ??
Any suggestions ?

It's not unheard of for our trucks to leak through the CHMSL (center high-mounted stop light)...dig around here in the threads and you'll see a couple of ways to remedy the issue. Some double up on the paper-thin factory gaskets and others have reported dealership techs using RTV sealant! It's a problem we should all be aware of (kind of like the dreaded Hemi tick) but, thankfully, there are some cheap fixes.

More than likely it’s your 3rd brake light.

I've had the 3rd brake light leak on 2 of my previous rams. I thought it was the sunroof or the rear glass, but both turned out to be the brake light. Like TXCOMT said, do a search on here, there are a couple of cheap ways to fix them!

To avoid this should I just go ahead and try to put that tape stuff on there ?

Even if is not the 3rd brake light, eventually it will leak, so needs done by everyone. I went with a blacked out led one instead, but the gasket on the stock light is super thin and wears out and hardens over time.

Even though mine is 2 weeks old I'm going to get a gasket kit and do it now, just in case.

Great! Much better to do now then you won't have to worry about headliner stains in a couple years.
