So just as the title says, my tires are shot so next weekend I'm going to go tire shopping. Currently I have a set of Goodyear Wrangler 225/75r16 tires on the truck. I'm not going Goodyear again. I had similar trash on my old Ranger and they're pretty much the same trash on the Dodge.
My delima is that in 225/75r16 I can get AT tires ranging from $90-$150 where I live. Most have to be ordered and the few that don't only seem to have 2 in stock. My truck also appears to work with 245/75r16 tires. I can get some really good street tires in that size for in the same price range that I'd get those AT tires. Since my truck is only 2WD and I mostly do street and dirt road driving I have no real need for ATs.
So the question. Has anyone had 245/75/r16 tires on these trucks? How does the truck drive vs the stock 225/75r16 tires? I like my for my vehicles to be responsive when I turn and I'm just curious how these trucks handle wider tires on the stock rims.
