Been eyeing the toyo open country mt...looking at other suggestions. A friend told me to look at toyo open country rt and Atturo trail blade xt or mt.
I have heard of treadwright but not sure I trust remolds.

Looking to spend under $300 a tire.

Anyone have any suggestions or what are they running. I do 70on road 30 off road, snowy winters, I do some rocks as well as some mud. Mostly rocky. Also tow a 9k trailer 10 to 12 times a year. Thx in advance

Stay away from the Atturo brand.
Look at Ironman and the eq.

I Love my 18 Ram 2500 4x4 CC U.S.M.C.(ret) CPL

For under $300 per tire I’d take a look at Cooper Stt Pros for a mud terrain. Haven’t tried them, but I would if I could get my hands on some (limited options here in Alaska).

I ran Toyo AT tires and got really good service from them. I'm currently running BFG KO2's and they have done really well. I've got just a bit over 30K on them and still have about 8/32 tread left.

My neighbor ran the Toyo RT tires and he didn't get good service out of them. In fact he hated the wet traction and the wear.

The Nitto tires seem to be a good one with good reviews and a lot of guys out here run them. When it's time for new ones on my truck I may try the Nitto Ridge Grapplers but they are almost $50 more per tire than the KO2s.

Check out Big O, BigFoot A/T or X/T. Of course it depends on the size you're running, the A/T's are more affordable, but I thought they were some of the best riding tires I'd had.

I’m interested in the KM3. Not in the market just yet but when I am I’m leaning that way.

I had ridge grapplers on my tundra, they did not do to well in the snow, that's my only concern on them. Other then that they were fantastic....I need some traction in the snow for hunting season

I am surprised at the negative experience with the Duratracs.
I have had them on multiple trucks and a jku Rubicon Jeep and they were flawless in snow and sand.

I have also had 2 sets of KO2s and both we’re terrible trying to get balanced, then didn’t get much mileage out of them.

My 35s Duratracs I just put on my PW the weights to balance were one tire was 4.5 oz and the worst was 12oz.
They ride awesome at all speeds so , just my .02 from my personal experience.

I had 2 duratracs blow out in one weekend at the deer lease. Did you know they only put one spare on these trucks? grin.

Mesquite thorns are something to try and avoid, I was born and raised in the great state of Texas and miss the great deer and dove hunting but don’t miss the thorns.

Mesquite thorns, sharp rocks, hickory sticks, smooth pebbles, bubble gum, feathers. All mean death to Duratracs.

From my understand, cause I only had the duratracs for a few days until they switched the wheels and tires from my old truck over, is they are a great tire if you're just gonna drive the truck on the street as a daily driver. But if you use the PW for what it's designed for, any mildly sharp rock will blow through the tires. Also have heard they just don't do well with the weight of the truck also. Kinda like thr transforce on the normal 2500... So many have cracked sidewalls sub 20k from just daily driving.

Hey Odin,

I don’t have the experience on rocks so I will gladly take your advice on that but as far as the weight of the truck cracking sidewalls I can speak to that.

Two of my company trucks Ram 2500’s (2015 with 6.4 and 2015 with Cummins) both had Duratracs and never any sidewall issues.

My reference to cracked sidewalls had to do with the stock Firestone Transforce (or whatever they are called) which come on thr 2500s. I had personal experience with that and I've seen other members here as well. I was just using it as a comparison.
