69, Suburban owns that market, remember the Excursion? Didn’t last long, then the Expedition XL, it’s going away too. ****** but maybe FCA said not worth it.

Always wondered why Ram did not build a Suburban.
Oh but they did. Sorta. It was called a Ramcharger. It was Dodge's answer in the 80"s to the Chevy Blazer and Suburban. Had a 86 RC. Was my first Dodge truck/vehicle. Really wish I had it today.

Nasty problem when you have a sledged up PCV before the actual valve. Notice the guys that metals were increasing, still way under hemi averages. At least we aren't seeing lead, but the iron and copper readings in most of our uoa's concern me anyhow.

The wagoneer is due to released.

That is on my radar for sure. I get a big discount on GM and FCA through Verizon so both would work if I buy new. I take great care of my stuff so buying new would get me 10 years easy even with the high mileage. A dealer near me does lifetime power train on newer vehicles just like I have on my wife’s van. I might do that route as I have the know how but don’t really have time to fix things being that I travel for work and have so many kids :)

This dirty Yukon has the autoride suspension so we will see how long that lasts. It has 156,000 miles so almost identical to my Rams odometer before I sold it.

Yukons and suburbans are known to go 300000 miles, actually that is normal for these vehicles, even with the square wheel wells.

Say what you want about GM, the pre AFM 5.3 is a stout little V8

Mine doesn’t have AFM and is closer to the output of the 5.7L Hemi so I went with it. The Ecotec 5.3L is not too bad but I think I might just get a 6.2L eco in the new one I get down the road. Who knows maybe I will get the Wagoneer!

Hey, what does the Cruise Control recall involve?

Would you guys take off the catch can before taking it in?

I always removed my CC when it went to the dealer but my dealer looks for any reason to void warranties. I know a bunch of people on here don't remove them...

Alright oil masters, a friend has a 5.7 Hemi 2016 and came from an 04 Hemi, he ran PYB 10-30 in it. He says he is not going to run 5W-20 in his new truck because “that oil is for a car”. He refuses to get Redline or Amsoil, so I just stopped on that front. I’m trying to convince him to go PUP 5W-30 4qts and 0W-40 3 qts or at least 5 of 5-30 and 2 of 0-40(since he can get the 5qt jugs of 5-30).

He refuses to believe 0W-40 is good oil at anything, I searched through the thread for something to show him how it’s kind of a super oil, but I didn’t find it or maybe I missed it. Could you guys pass on any info you have to help? Also, anyone who has run this combo, what were your experiences/results?
