Just had mine done - 4 recalls open --3 done, 1 steering part on order. What is disappointing is that he knew what the recalls were and scheduled me in to fix them - won't take long, 2 are inspections, 2 are programming.
Then after 2 days he didn't even have the darn part to fix one of the recalls

Cruise Control Will NOT work at all now - noticed it 5 mins away from dealer, also have a "Traction Control Event" icon on all the time now. Called dealer (he had my truck 2 days) and he said - ALL we did was reprogram it, should not have affected the Cruise Control. I told him it worked flawlessly before they worked on it. He said bring it back Monday we will look at it again.

You're making me nervous. Mine supposed to go in first thing in the morning. Mines just for cruise control and auto park, said it should take about an hour. Hopefully their not planning on an hour just to screw things up.

U61 Recall done! Cruise still works, Uconnect still works, I'm believe that I do notice a more solid downshift happening, and I like it. Not experiencing any noise or clunks or shuttering as some are saying, just a good solid downshift. It may be in my mind, but it seems like I'm feeling a much more responsive acceleration as well.

That's all I have to say about that!

Got my recalls done this morning. Cruise worked just fine on the way home, I don't know about the auto park, I played with it a little and nothing happened, I'm not worried about that one anyways. Took 1 hour, service writer said depending on build that it could take 3 hours if it had one certain module. He said that of all of them that they've done they've only had 1 that had that module. Anyway, so far, so good.

Had the cc and autopark recall done. CC works no problems, autopark works, though it seems to work in certain situations (ie after driving, etc)

Since I’m tuned and do not want to worry about going back to stock etc I’ll just keep my truck away from the dealer.

So here I was ready to heap praise on my local Ram dealer for the quick U-61 recall service it did on my '16 Rebel, but now I must throw shade! Why? Because my cruise control doesn't seem to work!
Funny, since it worked perfectly before it went in! Now, sadly, it will not engage. Has anyone else had this happen after a dealer performed the U-61 recall?
I'm pretty steamed but I guess I should've checked it upon leaving the dealership...at least I could've turned around and handed the keys back the same day!
Ugh...will keep y'all posted!

Hmmmmm, I better check mine. I already have a problem with the recall/reflash having screwed up my factory Aux Switches. The dealer is waiting on FCA to formulate an answer. I have not tried the cruise.

You're the second person I've seen with the cruise control not working at all after the flash. Definaly not having mine done yet!

Yeah,...........I'm all set with the recall and reprogramming. If it's not a safety issue, I'm not worried about it.
I NEVER use the cruise control anyways, so I'm good.

Ok, figured out how the auto park works. You're foot has to be completely off brake pedal/ stop lights out for it to go into auto park. So my recalls are done and everything working.

So here's the latest: my Reb has an appointment at the dealership (Grapevine [Texas] CDJR) this Friday for the CC and backup cam issue, plus a check on the 32-gal. tank misread as well as a loose headliner. My SA said the truck will need to be there over the weekend, so I'm praying for a decent loaner...hah!

I've told one of the internet sales folks I plan to test drive one of their '19 Rebs just for grins, too.

Will update this thread next week with my results and again, congrats to those who've had the U-61 work done with no aftereffects! I wish I could say the same; big cruise control user here.

Good luck. Curious about their response to the backup camera and 32-gallon tank (they told me there is no update to the STAR case as of 1 month ago).

Yeah, I'm really on the fence about mentioning the tank discrepancy...it might not be worth wasting breath over, huh?

OK, gang, I took my '16 Reb in to the Grapevine, Texas, dealer that performed the U-61 recall work a few weeks back for the followup appointment today.

If y'all recall, my cruise control would only engage intermittently and my backup camera started giving me fuzzy images from time to time. Both features functioned perfectly for 28,000 miles before the recall was performed.

Anyway, as my SA was checking me in, she noticed my VIN also showed the U-74 tailgate recall! That makes four things the dealer will be working on (the final item is a loose headliner); the bright spot in the whole deal was my loaner. It's a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport...my little girl loves it! Sure wish we had some good trails to take thing on here in North Texas. I guess I'll have to be content with tall curbs and gravel roads.

I'll update this thread a final time next week when the Reb is returned.

Well, I'll be getting the Rebel back today at lunch; Grapevine CDJ SA says the shop replaced my cruise control switch and the rear camera, so everything appears to be back to normal. I guess it was sheer chance that both went out immediately after the U61 recall work had been done...

As for the U74 tailgate recall, the SA told me (as it says in the My Mopar app) no repair parts are available, so until then, I'll just disconnect the gate and manually lock and unlock it.

That is all!

I had mine done a few weeks ago, and due to reports of issues with some I went out and tested it, and sure enough I could not get it to engage. The dial would not come on the dashboard, and of course I could not set it... I was all set to call the dealer back and get them to try again, but I tried it later and it did work. The first time I tested (and it failed) I was going around 70 or so, the 2nd time I was only going around 40...However once it worked at 40 it's worked ever since at any normal speed.

Not sure why it didn't' work the first time. Typically this is the kinda thing that makes you think "operator error" but really it's just pushing a button so not sure how I could have messed it up lol.

I had 5 recalls performed last week, among them was this U61. Zero issues with any of the recalls and vehicle operation per se, however it seems the PCM gets a new OS as part of this U61 update, and my HPtuners software lost some of its functionality because of it. i'm no longer able to record trans PID's, knock retard and a bunch of other PID's i had available before, nor im able to correct for tire size..., I've opened a case with HPT so they can update the VCM to correct for this update, i'm able to write the PCM just fine, but i'm not able to correct for tires/gears, or read most of the important PID's, damn it, correcting the odometer for my new 35's will have to wait a tad :)

Edited: as of 08/21/2018, i downloaded the latest HPT beta, per HPT engineer working on my case, and all the functionality is back, i've also correted the speedometer with it.
