Then do it. ***** not like you haven't NA dozens of times before. :laughing1:
Ssshhhh we're not going to talk about that.

Buddy of mine picked up a clean sport bumper awhile back and decided to use it. Was trying to sell it so he could go 4th gen conversion. I had a 4th gen and had been wanting to go sport but didn't want to spend the money on one. So we made a straight trade

Yesterday I replaced that POS MSD ignition coil that I had with one from Autozone just to test a theory. The truck is running damn good now and MSD has a bad rep with me at this point.

Yeah MSD parts on these trucks are generally junk unless you're changing the system over to the MSD 6AL system.
A strong coil and a good set of wires is all you need.
I'm personally looking at Summit brand 8.5mm wires for the next time I do a ignition tune up.

Changed out the dreaded plenum pan gasket. Shaved the bolts down while I was at it so they wouldn't bottom out and provide better clamping force (thanks @dapepper9 ), also installed a new AC compressor.

Didn't get any pics except for this oh-so-legit break:

Well ive been in germany for the last 2weeks. The day i left i was standing in front of my parents house talking to them when my radiator exploded. Apparently the ground wire on my efan broke and didn't come on. It idled up to 260 before giving way. Shut the truck off, fixed the wire, let the fan run for 15 minutes and cool it down. Drove it 2 miles back home and parked it. Threw my junk in the car and left.

Yesterday i got home and drained the oil to see if the head gasket popped. Only oil came out so i refilled it and pulled the radiator. I had a new one waiting for me when i got home and it's ready to go in. Only thing now im going to figure out a better way to mount the efan

Rotated my tires and adjusted my rear brakes yesterday.

Well 3 weeks ago i left for germany. The day i left my ground wire for the electric fan broke and i didn't realize it. Parked the truck in front of my parents place and stood there talking to them. Apparently it hit 260+ and the radiator exploded out the driverside. Found the bad ground wire, fixed it and let it run for 10-15 minutes to drive home. Threw all my baggage in the car and left.

While i was gone i ordered a new radiator as well as a few other things. Got home Tuesday and pulled the old radiator. Fabbed up a new fan shroud setup for the fan before putting the radiator in.

Saturday morning i did a MUCH better/cleaner job on my exhaust. It's now nicely tucked up underneath and not hanging down annoyingly ugly like. Running dual Stainless Works S-tube mufflers now which is similar to a magnaflow though magnaflows probably would sound better. Oh well.

Saturday night i got home at 9:30 and decided it was as good a time as any to install the TCI Quick-Gate shifter i had recently purchased. Hit a few bumps/ issues but it's functionally installed and i LOVE it. Now im when manually shifting i don't have to be slow and careful with the column. Just hit the ******* as as i want and never go too far into neutral

Digging the exhaust Tyler.
You guys haven't heard it yet. Not bad, unfortunately didn't quiet it down but it sounds more old school which i kinda like. The mufflers don't have anything after them so I'll do that before i decide fully. Kinda almost want some maggys or, dare i say it, glasspacks. But like 24-30" glasspacks so it's quiet and old schooly

Yeah they are but i paid $50 for the pair total. We'll see how they work out but i think a good long glasspack would be pretty good

Well... I think I finally found my vacuum leak.... I've had a vacuum leak since I did the Plenum over a year ago and I've checked everything except for one thing....

This damn thing.... I decided to disconnect the hose and cover the vacuum line to the manifold with my finger... It popped off with no effort... Turns out I never fully seated it back on the purge valve. So now I'm going to keep an eye on it.. I don't know if this is the cause of my random power issues or not... But it would explain why I randomly smell gas under the hood every once in a while when I get out of my truck after driving it for a while.

This picture is after I reseated the hoses all the way on like they're supposed to be.

Yeah I need to get on the ball with the heater core myself. It's been bypassed so I'm sure it doesn't work. Need to replace the dash anyway, so I'm going to save up and get the heater core and evap core, pull the dash, swap the cores, then put the new dash in all in one shot.

You may want to put the connector on the outside of the purge tubes, it may or may not be contributing to them coming loose. Jm.02
