A Mileage Test

I had an opportunity to check my 19 mileage on a nearly ideal stretch of interstate. I have a 19 Hemi, 2500 miles, with 3.92 gears. I traveled a stretch of interstate that is mainly flat with some low rolling hills. I had about 10 miles of non busy city driving. I recorded my miles and gently pulled on and off the interstate. I set the cruise at 65 mph and let it run. At the end of nearly 300 miles I checked it. My computer said 21.6 and my ball point pen said 20.2. So I thought I was getting better mileage than my 2013 trade in but I think it is the computer fudge factor as my 13 would do 20 also. Anyway for those that are scared of the mileage with 3.92 gears this is what mine does if you keep your foot out of it.

At 2500 miles you ain't even close to having it broke in yet. I would wait and check it again at 10K.

I knew by getting 3.92 mileage was not on my mind lol.

I have had several configurations of the Ram since 2009 and I never saw any mileage difference between the ones I had with a 3.92 vs. a 3.21 or 3.55

Good info,I only have 350 miles so far.I had the average climbing to the mid 16’s until I remembered Ihad the 3.92’s.They are just to much fun when the light turns green.

Have the 3.92 I get about 17....my wife drives the speed limit or so and it's seem like 65-67 mph is the sweet spot and she get 20 mph 14k miles

My 2019 gets 21/22 with 392 gears, interstate, 73 mph.

I only have 150 all freeway miles on my '19 5.7/3.92 and I am only seeing 12.5 so far. sounds like you guys are saying that it takes a while for it to go up as you put on a few miles. I hope so.

Hand calculated prob 60/40 highway and was right 16. Hope to do better with an oil change and few more k miles.
