I've got a 1992 W150 4WD long bed pickup. On top of the rear differential is an electrical connection/plug. There seems to be grease/diff fluid leaking from whatever that is. So the question is: what is the sensor for on the top of the rear diff? ABS maybe?

I recently had new fuel lines installed that necessitated removing the tank. That's all complete, but now I have the ABS light and the maintenance warning lights illuminated on the dash. I'm trying to track down the cause of the warning lights. Everything seems to be working fine.

Thanks

Bill

That would be for the rear ABS tone ring. They were not independent rear ABS, It would sense of the driveshaft slowed/stopped vs the front wheels.
