Hello All,

Recently I have noticed a pretty obvious wobble when driving of the steering wheel. It feels like it bounces back and forth and the truck definitely wants to pull to one side.

When i went to check the tires air pressure, i noticed the driver tire is badly worn on the inside while the passenger side does not exhibit the same issue and is even.

My assumption is this is all related and might be something more than a badly balanced wheel or just needing alignment ?

Your comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Pete

how many miles are on the truck? Have you had it from new? My guess is you have worn parts in your front end and and alignment issue

Sounds like a separated tire or out of round, go get them checked on a balancer at a tire shop. They can tell if the tires have issues. Id start there

Has the problem side ever smack a curb or the like? Could be a number of things going on with any of the front end components. Was the wobble slow and progressively getting worse or was it a sudden change?

The wobble has slowly gotten worse.

Are there particular susp components in the front that i should investigate that would cause this wobble and inside tire wear ?

I figure i need to resolve the source of the problem before i get the tires looked at/replaced.

Thanks,
Pete

There could be an issue with the tire, that is causing the issue. My steering wheel was shaking and it ended up being a tire that was separating internally.
