5th Gen 2019.....

I may be buying some Rebel wheels/tires for my new Laramie and was wondering if anyone else has done this. Curious If I will have any rubbing issues since my 20's have a 31.9" Diameter Tire, and the Rebel's 18's are 33.2"

Mine is a Laramie with Sport Appearance and is 2 wheel drive.

oh, and btw this is my first post on here :) Glad to be in a Ram.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy!

Are you sure your Laramie's 20" are only 31.9"? I thought they were all 33".

I went from 20" to the Rebel 17" on my Big Horn with no problems. That's why I went with the Rebel 17" vs aftermarket - was certain they would be okay.

I would probably double check with the dealer. For reference there was this thread where someone tried to switch to an 18 inch wheel but wouldn’t fit because of the larger brakes. This was a Limited so not sure if it applies to a Laramie. Just passing it along.

PSA: 18" Wheels won't fit on the Limited.

I’ll let y’all know this weekend. Picked them up and after the dealer details my truck when I take it in (it was pouring when I picked the truck up) I’ll come home and swap them.

It’s funny as I have a set of “ Rebel “ wheels for a 4th gen just sitting in my basement. Too bad they won’t fit my 5th gen so they need to go up for sale asap.f630bf9ed30203cba8b9cb8c1cdf1d3c.jpg

I decided to try to trade these for OEM 22's instead of running them. I do all highway driving so not sure I want to drive on All-Terrains all the time. That's one reason I got out of my Jeep.
So if anyone is in Texas and want's to trade let me know :)

Did you try to put them on at all to see if they would clear the calipers?

Are the calipers different?

I don’t know for a fact there are differences between trims but I know that other people have had issues with getting wheels to fit because of the larger brakes. They could have all been aftermarket but I thought I remember seeing a post where they tried to put the 18 inch wheels from a lower trim on a Laramie or Limited and they did not clear the brakes.

I would imagine that 18's would fit as the spare wheels are 18"

275/55 on 20" wheel = 31.9"

A local dealer in in my state has some 2019 rebel take off tires for $1500, is that a good deal?

That's not bad for wheels, tires and sensors. Or make sure it has sensors.

They said it does. The dealer said they would give me $500 for my current tires and wheels. I have the 20 inch chrome with dueler tires. That seems low to me, don't you think?
